We loved the audio tour, it made wandering the exhibits so nice and informative. You were able to skip around and go at your own pace. I highly recommend this option
We went through the whole museum. Arrived around 10:45 am finished at 5:15 pm. I would recommend having lunch inside. We were exhausted when we left, it was a great experience! Our waiter Andre was great!
Not a priority lane. Very long wait
D’Orsay is massive and the building itself is a work of art. It is best to have a plan for what you most want to see. For us, it was the astonishing collection of Impressionist art on the 5th floor. Truly breathtaking stuff. There are plenty of unexpected marvels as you walk around so keep your eyes open. The cafes are wonderful as well. This was even better than expected.
We loved the spaciousness and truly enjoyed the impressionists
The Orsay Museum should not be missed. The headsets added to the experience. I would highly recommend this museum.
Never again!!! Viator and its business aliases cancelled our early entry- skip the line tickets to the Vatican museum with less than 24 hours notice (we were literally flying into Rome when the email was sent) which required us to then stand in line for 5 hours. The priority tickets to The D'Orsay left standing in line with 50 other people. The companion tickets to the Orangerie were untimed which required us to wait over an hour in line along with people who didn't even have tickets.
Skipping the line is always a great option . I booked a ticket only (no tour guide) . You learn more with a tour guide but it’s a smaller museum and self paced is a fine option at this museum .
Viator sold us a ticket they were not permitted to sell by the D’Orsay. We went to enter the museum and were rejected. It was a special Sunday we’re only free issued tix were allowed by reservation. These tix are available through Viator or any other site. Do not buy a ticket here for the first Sunday of the month. Viator was agreeable to issuing a refund to us, which was good. Missing out on seeing the museum was bad.
The link to the voucher was not as helpful. I went to the reserved ticket area and showed the voucher. The three of us were admitted, but no audio was available. Disappointed.
