The diamond head site would not accept our tickets through this site. We had to purchase different tickets directly through them.
Make sure this is the trip you are for sure going on. We made a mistake on the day & could not get refunded at all. $150 gone.
Hydration and sunscreen is important. Have a source of water. Be mindful of the trail leading up and down Diamond Head. If a person suffers of knee pain, make sure to take your time and I recommend to have a walking stick. For those carrying infants, have a type of baby carrier that keeps your hands free. For those that are claustrophobic, when entering the narrow tunnel I recommend to maintain the focus on the ground when walking. It’s a beautiful view of Waikīkī & its surroundings once reaching the summit. Overall this hike met my expectations. 10/10
Very good self guided tour. Please note, this does not include the price of admission, just the audio
Did not like paying you 18.00 and not being able to get into the park. Had to re pay when we got there
There are 2 passes needed. One with the State, and the other for the self-guided audio tour - If - you want to have information during the hike. For the audio tour the price was about $9 per person, so I got 3. They give you a phone loaded with a recording that's separated by each of 20 stations. It was very crowded when we went, and we opted to listen on the way down rather than up, and instead of us each having our own learning experience - and out of sync with each other - we just listened on one phone, without the ear buds. That way we could discuss the information as we started walking again. It worked for us, anyway. The people at the Visitors booth were very nice, the hike was challenging, but rewarding. I would have not wanted to miss it.
I am currently trying to get refund!!!! I didn’t have park pass to walk/hike trail on 04/25….. I am walking/hiking Diamond Head trail today without audio tour……. I just want my refund!!
This was rlly bad the staff were slow unhelpful and kinda ruined my morning and I didn’t get to do what I wanted to bc of them. And they still charged me.
The guides were the absolute best. I wish I'd had more cash to give them a bigger tip. I would highly recommend
I felt like it was not very clear that we wouldn’t be able to get in because of it being sold out by 730 am, so we were unable to use the tickets purchased
