Itinerary
A distinctive landmark in the Helsinki cityscape, with its tall, green dome surrounded by four smaller domes, the building is in the neoclassical style. It was designed by Carl Ludvig Engel as the climax of his Senate Square layout: it is surrounded by other, smaller buildings designed by him.
Excavated directly into solid rock, the Temppeliaukio church is situated in the heart of Helsinki. The church hall is covered with a dome, lined with copper and supported on the rock walls by reinforced concrete beams. The interior walls are of rugged rock and rubble wall.
The Sibelius Monument, resembling organ pipes, is made of welded steel with over 600 pipes and with the bust of the composer on one side.

My guide did everything ti personalize my tour. He guided me through paid and non-paid options, took pics as requested, provided detailed history, and gave pointers along the way for future independent exploration of the city.
Nadia Nava our tour guide is very knowledgeable about Helsinki history. During the 3 hour tour we drove around and walked the major sites, one thing that I would have liked to see was the Kamppi Chapel. She should add it to her list. A terrific and educational experience.
Tour was okay but did not feel worth the money. Guide was informative and we appreciate the warm cosy van. However, water provided was not enough for all pax and there was no wifi and snacks in the car, which was promised. Also, sadly, the driver wasn’t careful with opening the car’s back compartment. Some of our new luggage fell to the ground and had major scratches. We only had them for a day since being bought. Accidents happen but this could have been avoided if the driver didn’t seem too rushed to open the door. Below average but we appreciate the guide’s efforts.
