This was a wonderful way to see all the main sites of rome all lit up at night, without the intense heat and massive daytime crowds during the summer months. We met at the designated spot at 10pm and spent the next 3 hours driving in two golf carts around rome while getting some nice history lessons on what we were looking at. Our driver requested we each take turns sitting in the rear facing seats (which i actually preferred) so we all had a chance to sit in different seats throughout the night. We made all the important stops (piazza Navona, pantheon, trevi fountain, The forum, colosseum, etc. and some unexpected sites that we normally would not have seen. The night ended at the Spanish steps at 1am where we sat with a small crowd on a warm rome night . Do not hesitate to book this tour!!!
We really enjoyed seeing Rome at night all light up and with less crowds at all of the major attractions! We had limited time in Rome, so this was a great way to see the city quickly! The driver was knowledgable and stopped at every attraction so we all could take pictures.
The best way to see the Eternal City! If you're visiting Rome, a golf cart tour is simply the smartest way to explore it. We saw so much more than we ever could on foot, from the famous highlights to hidden gems. Our guide was fantastic—funny, friendly, and a true Roman local. His knowledge of the city's history, monuments, and fascinating stories was incredible, and he made every stop both entertaining and memorable. A perfect mix of comfort, history, and local insight. Highly recommended! 🇮🇹🏛️✨
It should be mentioned that there is an odd number in the cart so couples did not need to split up. That became an issue. Guide was good. It was somewhat difficult to see out of the cart, as the roof of th cart blocked views of buildings.
Thank you for your review and kind words about the tour and our guide. I'm glad you enjoyed the experience and that the guide made a positive impression. I'm sorry the seating arrangement and roof design affected your experience. On fully booked tours, members of the same party may sometimes be seated in different carts, especially when bookings are made separately. The carts travel together and make the same stops, so guests remain together throughout the tour. The roof design is standard for these golf carts and cannot be modified. It is meant to provide shade and protection while still allowing an open-air experience. We appreciate your feedback and will continue looking for ways to improve seating arrangements. Thank you again for joining us and for recognizing our guide's work.
Fantastic! We got to see things that we didn't know about and were amazing. Not only that but going at night the sights look different and crowds are low. Fantastic adventure. Would definitely book again or recommend.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review! It was a real pleasure having you on the tour. We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed the experience and that our guide helped make your visit to Rome special. We truly appreciate your kind words and hope to welcome you back again in the future.
Eliphas, born and raised in Rome, was a wonderful guide full of knowledge and the history of Rome. He showed us so many sights of Rome and some hidden gems of Rome. It was great to see the splendor of Rome all lit up at night. This tour was definitely one of the highlights of my first trip to Italy!
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a fantastic review. We're thrilled that you enjoyed the tour and had a great time exploring Rome with us. Your feedback means a lot to our team, and we'll be sure to share your kind comments with the guide. We hope to see you again on your next visit!
This was a great way to see a lot of sights and beat the crowds and heat. We only had 2 days in Rome and wanted to see the familiar sights and free up time on our other day for other things. Rome was quiet and cool and our guide did a great job of showing us both the expected sights like the Coliseum and Piazza Navona but also the keyhole where you can see the Vatican and some ancient ruins tucked away behind some buildings.
What a pleasure to read your review! Thank you for your kind words and for choosing our tour. We're so happy that the experience met your expectations and that you enjoyed discovering Rome with us. Guests like you make our job incredibly rewarding.
This tour did not last the full time. Also, it did not allow for many stops and pictures. Also, it was done in two separate golf carts which lead to one not being directly in front of the stop at times. Very disappointed
We respectfully disagree with your review. The tour ran exactly as described and lasted the full scheduled duration of approximately 2.5 hours, including all planned stops and photo opportunities. Nothing was shortened or omitted. We also clarify that entry inside the Colosseum is not included in this experience, as clearly stated in the tour description. This is a panoramic golf cart tour of Rome, not an entrance ticket to the monuments. Your refund request was declined because the service was fully delivered as advertised. It is also worth noting that critical reviews of this nature are not consistent with actual participants of the tour. The only negative feedback we occasionally receive comes from non-participants or from cases where bookings could not be accommodated or tours were cancelled for operational reasons—not from guests who completed the experience. We stand firmly by the accuracy, structure, and quality of our tours as experienced by paying participants.
Absolutely horrible. After booking and paying for our tour, the operator RoamRome cancelled the tour hours before the tour leaving our family with no alternative. This company and operator is a huge risk, beware when you book.
Hello, I would like to clarify this review as it does not appear to match any booking or identifiable customer in my records. I have carefully checked my schedule for May 26th. While I did operate tours on that date, I did not cancel any customer reservations, and I cannot find any booking that corresponds to the situation described in this review. The review does not include a name or reservation reference, and I do not recognise the circumstances described. I normally handle any operational issues or emergencies (which can occasionally occur in this type of service) with advance communication and clear notice to guests. Because I am unable to match this review to any verified booking or cancellation in my system, I would encourage Viator and the reviewer to double-check the reservation details so the situation can be correctly identified. I remain fully committed to providing reliable and well-communicated tours to all guests.
This is a great way to see the city by night. The guide was very friendly, and knowledgeable about the city and made the trip thoroughly enjoyable.
Thank you very much for your kind review. I’m really glad you enjoyed seeing Rome by night. The city has a completely different atmosphere after dark, and it’s always a pleasure to share its history and beauty in such a special setting. I’m happy to hear you found the tour enjoyable and appreciated the knowledge and friendliness throughout the experience. Thank you for choosing my tour and for your recommendation—it truly means a lot. Warm regards, Eliphas Tars Biasciucci
