Night tour through the Tropical Forest at Tifakara
Description
Our tour takes place on trails adjacent to the tropical forest. First we will visit a frog sanctuary where Red-eyed frogs abound. Then we will walk through trails to see more species of amphibians and surprises from the jungle. The concert offered by the frogs will accompany you throughout the tour!

Our night tour begins with a walk through the internal paths of the hotel, where we have our first frog sanctuary. You will be able to observe multiple species of amphibians, including the frog Agalychnis callidryas (Red-Eyed Frog). We will continue walking along paths until we reach our second frog sanctuary, a little larger than the first. This walk will allow you to experience the sensations of the tropical jungle without having to experience any danger. The forest always has surprises for us, so it is not uncommon to find on our tour: sloths, nocturnal birds and snakes.

We had a fantastic tour with Kevin! We saw so many different frogs that we were excited to see like the blue jeans frog and many red eyed tree frogs. Kevin took great pictures and sent them to us after. The marked trail was just behind a hotel and was easy and flat. We enjoyed this a lot and would recommend!

Dilan was amazing!!! He is so knowledgeable and you can tell he has a passion for reptiles, insects, and amphibians. He was diligent about taking great pics of everything we saw, explaining what we saw, and he truly spotted things we would have gone right over if we were alone with a flashlight. Highly recommend!!!

Book this tour!! It was my dream to see a red eyed tree frog in Costa Rica and this place was full of them along with many other species. Our guide Kevin was the BEST! Super knowledgeable and and pointed out so many things for us to see and learn about. He also helped us take incredible photos and sent us all the ones he took too! 🤩

Kevin is very nice and pleasant. He brings his own flashlight and laser and shows you a lot of frogs. He has a lot of knowledge about it and takes the photos for you directly. We highly recommend it.

This was our family’s first time visiting Costa Rica, and this tour absolutely made it a most memorable night! We were able to see so many different kinds of frogs and insects that we had never seen before in our lives. Our guide, Dilan, was incredibly informative, patient, and great at spotting things we would have completely missed on our own. If you are in the area, the Ti-fakara night walk is a absolute must-do!
