The tour was fantastic and our guide Alberto was particularly great.
Our family really enjoyed this tour! Our guide Valerie was very knowledgeable and friendly. We learned about chocolate, sugarcane and coffee and each part included a lot of interaction and participation. We got to taste a cocoa tea, two types of liquid chocolate (that you could add toppings into), cocoa beans, two types of coffee, arepa, sugarcane juice and 4 types of solid chocolate. The tour is 2.5 hours but doesn’t feel too long. You can wear sandals and they provide umbrellas. The property is beautifully maintained and there’s also a great gift shop!
The guide was an encyclopedia of information about coffee and chocolate as well as facts about Cost Rica. Interesting tour!
We took the chocolate and coffee tour at the end of July 2026 and had a great time! The tour was about 2.5 hours and covered all things chocolate and coffee. Seeing how the coffee is processed and how chocolate was made was very interesting. Our 11 and 14 year old kids loved the chocolate and even enjoyed the coffee tasting. The only thing that could have been better would have been to cover all the coffee stations in a row and then all the chocolate stations in a row. We went back and forth between the two which made it a little more challenging to remember what you heard 20 minutes ago. Overall, it was a great experience and highly recommend if you are in the La Fortuna area.
This was such a fun and comprehensive experience! David was our guide and was so knowledgeable about the process of creating coffee, chocolate, cocoa butter, etc. and was so helpful in teaching us to understand the big picture. There were more than enough samples of products on this tour and it helped us understand what we like/don’t like in our coffee and chocolate. Could not recommend this tour (and David) enough and am so glad we could support this business!
We thoroughly enjoyed this tour given we had an extremely full and active day prior. To enjoy the pace, the highly informative knowledge sharing from our guide, the sips and tasting of coffee and chocolate through every stage from tree to end product was enjoyable. Great for adults and maybe teens but this would probably be too long / not interesting to kids. We really appreciated the expertise of our guide, you can tell they are passionate about informing visitors about Costa Rica’s two primary exports.
The coffee and chocolate tour was really interesting and informative. We enjoyed the entire experience and had such a nice time. Our guide, Danny, was very friendly, knowledgeable, and patient, and he answered all of our questions. We really enjoyed the tour and would definitely recommend it!
The tour was awesome. Everyone was super friendly and the guides made it very fun. I believe her name was Valery. Out of everything we did during this trip this was one of the best experiences.
This was one of my favorite things we did all trip! Alberto was an incredible guide who taught us a lot and made the experience an absolute delight. I cannot recommend enough!
Our guide was enthusiastic and highly informative. He provided hands on demonstrations. I highly recommend.
