Was a very nice and informative tour- more history of the city than I ever would know! Great to see the sites and learn about Newport’s extensive history and fun facts. It also gave me more ideas of spots to visit more. Tour guide was friendly, enthusiastic, and full of knowledge.
This tour left 15 mins late, it did not feel like AC was on at all and driver started talking about random stuff when we hadn’t even begun to move yet! During the tour, when it finally started, we could barely see most of the mansions since they were all covered by trees and fences. We did not get to see the Cliff walk which would have been nice to do.
Unfortunately, the Cliff Walk is not visible from the road as it is the shoreline behind the Mansions along Bellevue Avenue. Also, we cannot control the landscaping of the homes in Newport. That being said, just because you cannot see them doesn't mean that the homes and people do not or did not exist in Newport History. Generally speaking the drivers do a general history of Newport at the begining of their tour. Sorry if you felt it was random. All of this being said I will have our garage check the AC units, but I know they are trying there best to keep cool with this weeks heat!
Trolley was comfy and guide was fantastic. He had a deep connection to Newport and loved hearing his personal stories about where his parents and grandparents had worked as he drove us around. He was incredibly knowledgeable, funny, and kind. We took our two teenage girls (14 and 17). They didn't want to go and they ended up really enjoying it. We didn't book a tour of the Breakers but ended up doing one afterwards once we got back to our tour bc we were so compelled by what we learned on the tour. Don't remember our guide's name but we took the 1:30pm tour on 6/27. Whomever you are - you did a GREAT job!!
It was an interesting tour that encompassed most of New Port. Our tour guide was funny and entertaining. It was a bit hard to hear in the back of the bus with the fan.
We had an amazing time on our trolley tour of Newport! The trolley itself was very comfortable and all enclosed, so weather would not have been an issue if our day had not been beautiful. Our guide Larry was extremely friendly and informative. It helped us so much to see all of the beautiful sites and know what we wanted to return to and check out on our own. I would highly recommend for the beginning of a Newport getaway!

Informative tour, great driver
Excellent review of Newport, its history and local attractions and sites. Our tour guide. Larry did a great job maintaining humor and giving us the details of things we'd want to see. It was slightly more than 90 minutes with lots of details. Based on his recommendations, we went out to watch the sunset at one of the overlooks. We had lunch at the mooring based on one of his recommendations. It was very good.
