This was an awesome experience! Highly recommend. Our tour guide Nico was extremely knowledgable and shared her own personal experiences that led her to becoming a tour guide. The driver, Lucash was amazing and kept us on time and safe.
Nicole was a great guide, very knowledgeable and fun. Loved the Godafoss Waterfall. Myvatn Nature Baths were interesting and the only reason I gave 4 stars was because they were a little disappointing. Lots of construction around the pool so you didn’t get the feeling I expected.
The Falls and the Hot Springs were fabulous! Our guide Nika a woman from Spain did a fabulous job also and our driver was very skilled. The chicken sandwich I did not enjoy!
Great tour! Needed another 45 min at Godafoss Waterfall but plenty of time at the Myvatn Baths. Niko was excellent and the chicken sandwich was delicious. Fun day.
The baths were amazing. The bus driver and tour guide were also very helpful and great at providing info on the area. All in all a great experience! Thank you!
The Nature Bath was beautiful but the place where you change well I am not one to take my clothes off in front of alot of people and walk around naked but there are no stalls to change so if your not comfortable with this do not take this tour
Dear Patricia_G, Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We are delighted to hear that you found the lagoon itself beautiful and enjoyable. Regarding the changing facilities, we are truly sorry if this part of the experience felt uncomfortable. Please rest assured that each changing room does include two private showers, and we apologize if this may not have been clear or easily noticed during your visit. We sincerely hope that, despite this, the experience left you with lasting memories of the beauty of North Iceland. If you would like to share more about your visit, we would be glad to hear from you at info@bustravel.is. Kind regards, Andreea
Petra our guide was outstanding. The canyon was not impressive. The baths were a good experience. Heavy on the sulphur side.
Fantastic experience seen some amazing sites. The baths were a great experience as well. Tour guides was so nice and gave some great information. She even played some Fantastic music on our way back. Would recommend to anyone coming to akureyri.
I was not very impressed with this tour. The baths are nice and you get the blue water (but not mud facials like blue lagoon), but i felt like our guide didn't take into account our needs. Like, we were told to arrive at a certain time. We waited for other people then left late because we had to accommodate people from a different tour and arrived at our next destination almost 1.5 hrs later. He was surprised why so many of us needed a bathroom break as we only drove maybe 20 min - but we waited over an hour before leaving. Our stop at the Godafoss falls was far away from the restroom so essentially there wasn't enough time to get to it and visit the falls. So with a bus full of people, many waiting for the bathroom on the bus, it was pretty uncomfortable. Our guide was joking the entire time. He called the baths basically a nuclear waste bath and honestly couldn't tell if he was telling the truth with most of the info he provided as his voice was fairly monotone. As other comments said, Myvatn lake has tons of annoying flies. Definitely bring a hat with a net. I forgot so we didn't stay too long before heading back to the bus. I was unfortunately unable to go into the baths, but my family did enjoy it. I think this could be a good excursion with a few changes.
Dear Melly20, Thank you for sharing your feedback and impressions with us. With regard to the Mývatn Nature Baths, while they may seem similar to the Blue Lagoon at first glance, each offers its own character and atmosphere, and we encourage guests to approach them with different expectations. While it is not clear why you could not join the baths yourself, we are pleased to hear that your family enjoyed the experience. As for the timing at the beginning of the tour, the other travelers were part of the same group, only with a slightly different inclusion regarding the Nature Baths. We always try to design our itineraries in a way that feels well balanced between exploration and practical needs, though we understand that at times it may feel different from one guest to another. We are sorry if the time at Goðafoss felt a little short for you. Regarding the flies, their presence around Lake Mývatn in summertime is natural and is something common for lakes in general. While they are part of the area’s unique character, we understand they can make the visit less comfortable. We hope that you could still take away memorable impressions from the beauty of North Iceland, and we would be glad to hear from you further at info@bustravel.is. Kind regards, Andreea
Overall a good excursion. Lunch stop was rushed. More time to shop at waterfall would be better. Nicole was a very excited guide!
