Amazing museum dedicated to the Violin and its development in Cremona.

Amazing museum focused on the history of violins and string instruments as developed in Cremona. Obviously Antonio Stradivari is a central character but are others to understand their roles. There are many examples of the best violins in the collection. Entrance is very reasonable. Note: On Sundays, there are recitals in the Auditorium Giovanni Arvedi within the museum building. On the Sunday I was here, a Giuseppe Guarneri violin Stauffer 1734 was being played by Emma Bertozzi. The performance was stunning and the acoustics are wonderful. This is not to be missed an a great value at 12 euros per person.

Great museum, but the really unique part are the concerts.

The violin museum is obviously a fundamental step of the visit to Cremona. It is very remarkable, exposed in a modern and effective way and very usable. The limit it has, like other uniquely themed museums, is the sheer number of objects that disorients you after a while. But the best part is the Sunday concerts in the auditorium, with original Stradivarius and incredible young artists of enormous talent.

Essential if you visit Cremona

For the second time at the museum, this time in the company of our granddaughter who, like her grandparents, found the multimedia contributions located along the museum route useful. Beautiful and valuable instruments on display that in addition to being admired can also be heard. One cannot fail to emphasize the worldwide importance of Cremona’s violin making and the artisan workshops still present in the city, with students and enthusiasts who come here from all over the world.

Violins in all sauces

We are not passionate about violin, but the museum is still interesting to learn about the instrument and the art of violin making in Cremona.

Scam-ish

I did purchase a ticket through Viator as the Museum Website dates were all unavailable. So by them buy tickets made them unavailable so you are forced to buy it here at a higher price. It is an atlernative if you. "have" to attend. They also dont tell you utill the day before you NEED to print the voucher. Hopeful you get lucky and your hotel can print ot for youm Fair warned !!!

For violin lovers

While anyone can enjoy it, the truth is that if you are not a lover of string instruments it may be somewhat less attractive. Inside you can see the whole process of building a violin, and enjoy a huge collection of violins from different periods, highlighting, of course, several Stradivari. Highly recommended whether or not you are in love with violins

Tribute to Stradivari and the Master Luthiers

Not to be missed if you are in Cremona, the city of the Master Luthiers and the great Stradivarius. The museum houses priceless instruments in a modern and captivating environment. To see whether or not you are passionate about music.
