Listen to grisly tales of witchcraft, torture and restless spirits as you venture down medieval closes and descend into the haunted Blair Street Underground Vaults of Edinburgh on this ghost tour. Hear the distant clatter of workmen and whispers of criminals as you’re immersed in the atmosphere of the past. As night thickens, we’ll gather together in Megget’s Cellar for a whisky — or locally-made beer or soft drink. Lose yourself in the cries and taunts of a once-roaring crowd of thousands, baying for the blood of two men. Take your place as a member of the “Edinburgh mob”, which once surged in riot past the Mercat Cross (our meeting point for the evening).
Listen to grisly tales of witchcraft, torture and restless spirits as you venture down medieval closes and descend into the haunted Blair Street Underground Vaults of Edinburgh on this ghost tour. Your cloaked Storyteller will lead you through the dimly lit caverns, recounting stories that you would swear are too horrific to be true — and yet, they all are. Was a bit sceptic but a great tour. Annabel as a guide was perfect for this.
Absolutely fantastic experience! Bo was an amazing guide — knowledgeable, engaging, and a brilliant storyteller who really brought Edinburgh’s history to life. The underground vaults were a definite highlight, with an incredible atmosphere that made the ghost stories feel so real and immersive. One of the best things we did in Edinburgh — highly recommended!
Funny, interesting, time ran away... Professional guide with much knowledge, spooky! We had to climb about 30 stairs, but the walk is not far, so everyone in normal constitution is able to follow, older people included! Everyone gets earphones that work perfekt, we understood each spoken word!

The tour was fabulous, and our guide, Bo, was a terrific storyteller. His tales of the darker and more notorious events in Edinburgh’s past really brought the city’s history to life. Entertaining, atmospheric, and well worth the price.

A nice mix of history, ghost stories and a look at some of the underground vaults of Edinburgh’s Old Town. Our tour guide, Max, did an excellent job relating all this information during our two-hour tour. A big plus: this company provides headsets to their guests, which are comfortable to wear and have excellent sound quality. You will not miss a word spoken by your guide!

Max was wonderful. Knowledgable about the area and the rich history. We brought our 7 year old (prob not the best idea In hindsight) but he checked in on her and us to make sure it was ok to proceed. Excellent experience, highly recommend.

Really lovely and chilling tour. We received great information beforehand and the meeting point was easy to find. The guides Annabel and Kirsty were wonderful. Great and genuine story tellers. In the vaults we had a paranormal experience in the corridor. The temperature suddenly dropped and we felt a chilling breeze on our bodies. I would recommend going on this tour when visiting Edinburgh!

The guides were great story tellers but this was a 2 hour tour that should have been 45 minutes!! Stories were too long and teenage kids lost interest (and me!).
