We did the mount Bromo sunset tour from Surabaya. Our guide Aries was very nice. The views were amazing and we were mostly alone in all the areas. The sunset tour is more expensive, but the experience is unique and pleasant.
It was extraordinary amazing. Aries is a great, very skilled guide. Takes the time to explain everything. To tell how and what. We had plenty of time to take in the experience everywhere. Would highly recommend this trip.

Mount Bromo is an amazing experience and sunset was a great time to do it as there was pretty much no one there except us. Aries was a great guide and ensured that we got to the top of the crater safely and took great photos of us.

This tour takes you from Malang to Mount Bromo in a Jeep. I participated in the rainy season, so it clouded up, but the view of Mount Bromo is still great. Mount Bromo tends to attract a lot of attention for sunrise tours, but sunset tours are also available, so it's good. The guide was kind too.
