On a vacation where we hired a tour guide almost every day for two weeks, Avi was our best. An art history expert, but not desperate to show it. He was hilarious, informative (but not overly so), and clearly loved the louvre and sharing it. He was as comfortable with the kids (age 7 and 12) as us adults… he explained da Vinci and French masterpieces, while also referencing ninja turtles, naughty words and things that made our kids laugh and pay attention to the art commentary (didn’t want to miss a joke). He was like that great art history professor you had in college that could make a layman appreciate art. Totally approachable - affable, a great story teller… literally a perfect tour (90 min), concise, played the the hits - in and out, so our kids didn’t get mutinous.
