Moldova Private Jewish Heritage Chisinau Tour

Description
If you look closely at the walls of old synagogues, often-nameless tombstones, you may hear notes of nostalgia for bygone world that was an essential part of our grandparents’ lives; you can learn something unbelievably close, beckoning, and native. As we have heard and learned, when we went on the broken streets of Rashkov, Briceni or Zguritsa. We remembered the stories told by our parents about these towns, we have things that seemed so distant, fabulous and unprecedented when we were kids. Holocaust Jewish Memorial Jewish Cemetery Chisinau Synagogue Chisinau Jewish Pogrom 1903-1905 Memorial Manger Jewish Library (The ability to search the information in the archive) Jewish History Museum and Kishinev Jacobs Jewish Campus (KEDEM).

Natalia our guide was amazing. We found the tour educational, enjoyable and she was able to modify our tour to meet our wishes
The tour was a perfect balance- learning about the history of the Jewish community in Moldova, including the darkest episodes; balanced with the privilege of being able to visit Jewish community organisations and see their invaluable work. Natalia was an amazing guide- considerate, knowledgeable and dedicated to her role. Communication and logistics were excellent throughout.
Natalia was an amazing guide! She had planned the tour very well as a nice walk through the old Jewish part of town, to several parks and memorials, before heading to an active Synagogue. Thanks to her foresight, I was able to see their prayers, and she had a thorough knowledge of the cemetery and old locations throughout Chisinau. A recommendation: Try to book a hotel by the main church and archway downtown, which was an old Jewish section of the city. Beginning earlier in the day makes it a nice cool walk, and by the time it starts to get warmer, you’re driving to the park and cemetery. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone interested in history and I plan to come back for a tour to Dubasari!
