Great guide made understanding history of China enjoyable and insightful

Jack is an awesome guide. He is very knowledgeable. He is very professional and shares and answers our questions readily about Ming Tombs. We accepted his recommendation and extended the tour with him to Long Qing Gorge. It was an amazing and beautiful sights. He also explains things along the way which may not be related to Ming Tombs or Long Qing Gorge. We enjoyed the trip thoroughly.

interesting but slightly challenging to do it with public transport

The tombs and the sacred way were very interesting. We went with public transport. Information about that has room for improvement. It was not easy to figure out the bus system. In the programm description it looked like it was walkable from.one tomb to the other. This is not the case: one needs to take a bus or car. After figuring out how the bus-numbers and directions; it worked. But on the return one has to ask the driver if hè goes to the metro station or the other way; because it is not written on the bus. It was a good day and the chinese visitors were very helpful to fill in our gaps of information.

An excellent sightseeing day!

To see the Tombs, I had considered taking a taxi and wandering around with a guidebook. Boy, am I glad I booked this tour instead! First of all, it's a huge area to attempt on foot. Second, a knowledgeable guide can make all the difference in having a positive and memorable experience. I had hotel pickup in a sparkling minivan, but the highlight was my guide. Susan was wonderful! Knowledgeable, personable and attentive. She hit all the marks. Plus she is very experienced and provided superb advice regarding other sites in the region. What's not to like? 2 enthusiastic thumbs up!

Have a great day out.

I had an excellent day out with my driver Xing Jian who took me to the Ming Tombs complex. He messaged me prior to the tour to make sure I knew what was happening. He was on time, the car was clean and drinks and snacks were provided. Xing Jian provided commentary on the way to the tombs explaining about how Beijing is designed and information about the tombs. This was done through a translation app and I understood everything. The tombs were great and well worth visiting when in Beijing. I highly recommend this tour company and especially Xing Jian as driver. Well done.

Fantastic Travel Experience!

Fantastic experience with my assigned driver Mr Li Qingshan. He contacted me directly to arrange on the pick up, and suggested for me to leave earlier to beat the sunset. Along the way, he provided a very comprehensive background of the Ming Tombs and the emperors associated with the tombs. Even though I am a solo traveller, he helped to arrange for a fantastic lunch! Will definitely be happy to engage his service again!

The place is totally worth...

The place is totally worth it but you should keep in mind that it is an hour and a half by metro and you will have to get how to move between the different graves. The ticket you pay here soll includes entrance to the graves, but not transportation between the graves.

Ming Tombs and Great Wall

The Ming Tomb experience was steeped in the history of Chinese civilization from the year 1420. Lucy, our guide with excellent English, a wonderful personality and amazing knowledge made the tour come alive. During the tour she suggested that we were close to the Badaling access to the Great Wall so we decided to add it to our day. Best decision of the day even though we will be returning to the Great Wall. Again. Such an amazing sight and history. Thank you Lucy
