It is one of Shizuoka City's most famous scenic spots, having been voted No. 1 on the list of the 100 best sightseeing spots in Japan.From the observatory, visitors can enjoy a 360° 'panoramic view' of Mount Fuji, Suruga Bay and Miho Matsubara. Kunouzan Toshogu Shrine is associated with shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu. The Nihondaira Ropeway takes visitors to the shrine, which is a national treasure, and requires a climb of approximately 100 stone steps. People who have anything problem for exmple wheelchair users find it difficult to visit the shrine .

Because of its beauty, Miho Matsubara has been selected as one of Japan's New Three Views (established in 1915) and one of Japan's Three Great Pine Barrens. It is also listed as a component of the UNESCO World Heritage Site "Sacred Sites and Sources of Art on Mt. Fuji.".
The Nihondaira Yume Terrace, an observation deck, offers 360° views of Mount Fuji, Miho Matsubara, Suruga Bay and the Shizuoka city centre.
A historic shrine that should not be missed for sightseeing, with its colourful, all-lacquered shrine pavilions that convey the sumptuous culture of the early Edo period, the mausoleum where Ieyasu lies, and a museum that houses valuable historical documents, including the armour of successive Tokugawa shoguns.

Had a great trip, didn’t get to see Mt Fuji as it was too hazy but everywhere else he took us was great to see. Lovely driver didn’t speak English but had a voice translator so we could understand him and he added a trip to see the blossom and football stadium to the tour Highly recommend the tour company
