Mendenhall Glacier Lake Canoe Tour

Description
Experience the beauty of the Alaskan wilderness on this 3.5-4 hour adventure to the Mendenhall Glacier. This adventure starts off at the cruise ship docks as an expert guide will transfer the guaranteed, small group on a narrated 30 minute journey to the West Glacier boat launch in the Tongass National Forest. Guests gear up in top quality waterproof gear and after a quick paddle lesson, will launch the canoe onto the Mendenhall Lake to start the journey. Surrounded by steep cliffs filled with Arctic terns, mountain goats, porcupines, and other wildlife; enjoy the serenity of this adventure deep into Alaska. Feel the cool brisk air coming off the glacier as the guide safely navigates the canoe to the best viewpoints of the blue crevasses and seracs on the toe of the Mendenhall Glacier. Be one of the few to step away from the crowds and get face to face with glacier. This Tour is canoeing only and DOES NOT INCLUDE a hike.

Cortland and Elymus were wonderful guides. They were both very knowledgeable about the environment and flora and fauna. We left understanding MASH and the annual Suicide Basin flooding. Highly recommend!!
What a great adventure!!! As we were looking at the prices of what our boat was charging for a lesser trip we found their website and read some of the other reviews and clicked book. Joe Craft did a phenomenal job of keeping everything going. His humor and stories kept us entertained the entire time. It was definitely a highlight of our Alaska cruise.
Hannah and Mike were amazing tour guides! My family and I enjoyed our trip and would highly recommend this excursion for others who are visiting Juneau! The canoeing was a little strenuous but definitely worth it!!
Cortland H was a fantastic guide. He has an infectious enthusiasm for his job and the area. He is very knowledgeable and has a great sense of humor. He is also an entertaining story teller and really helped to make our adventure special. Highly recommend Cortland H for this or other tours

Wonderful experience with Mike as our guide. He is a wealth of information and lots of fun! So glad we were able to go!! Memories to cherish!
Great tour. Mike was a terrific guide, extremely friendly and knowledgeable he really made the tour worth it. Beautiful scenery. Super fun.
We had an absolutely incredible time on our guided canoe excursion, and our guide, Tor, was the highlight of the experience. The entire process was seamless, starting right from the pickup. She drove us directly to the site and was incredibly helpful and informative while getting us outfitted and set up for the water. Tor is a recent graduate from URI (Go Rams!!) in environmental science, and her expertise really shows. She is extremely bright, friendly, engaging, and genuinely caring. She was very attentive to our group, taking the time to carefully instruct those who hadn't paddled before so they felt completely comfortable. Throughout the tour, she shared her extensive knowledge about the surrounding nature and the glaciers. We really enjoyed our time on the water with her. I highly recommend requesting Tor if you are booking this tour!
Absolutely fantastic canoe adventure! Our guide, Tor (we heart URI) was kind, funny(#JOKES), warm-hearted, and incredibly knowledgeable. She made safety a priority while making everyone feel comfortable and at ease. Her knowledge of the glacier, Alaska’s geography, and wildlife made the experience even more fascinating. You could truly tell how much she loves what she does. She made this beautiful Alaskan adventure unforgettable for our large group of nine—we highly recommend her! Thank you, Tor! And, thanks to Stacey for your playlist, lol!
