We had a wonderful time on this tour, learning about the area and the city in general. Kat was an amazing tour guide. We highly recommend going in this tour!
Our tour guide Michael was excellent. He’s passion for sports really showed. The whole tour was very well organised and we got to see some of the most iconic Sports venues in Melbourne.
Our guide Peter tailored the tour to our interests, packing our time with interesting stories and information. He adapted his program effortlessly so that we could spend most of our time at the venue in which we were most interested. His commentary was positive but he didn’t avoid some of the controversies associated with sport and sports personalities and he answered questions very openly, revealing a true interest in the field and an encyclopedic knowledge.
Wow ! We had high expectations from having read great reviews prior to booking our walking tour ... and Ben did not disappoint. Fantastic tour, we learnt so much, we appreciated Ben's informative, personable, friendly chat. Highly recommend to anyone who loves sport.
Very friendly, personable and knowledgeable guide shares insights about facilties and the players who are playing in the Australian Open.
Hey Sherry - thanks for taking the time to write a generous review.
Fantastic morning. Ben and Terry know Melbourne sports and the history of Melbourne inside out, and were really entertaining hosts. You get to see the Melbourne tennis centre (even play on one of the courts) and hear the whole history and all the quirky details. If you think you know it already: you don’t. You also get in to the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Magnificent 100,000 seat stadium nicknamed The Coliseum, which it is actually reminiscent of. All in all this was three hours very well spent.
Hi Nigel - I think you nailed exactly what our experience is about and how we try and bring Melbourne to life through our sporting precinct, world class events and culture.
The tour was exceptionally good. The host, Ben was extremely knowledgeable & passionate about the subject. We really enjoyed the experience.
Grouse review. Really appreciate the positive thoughts.
Ben was very knowledgeable and made the tour very worthwhile. I thoroughly enjoyed my time and would recommend to all. Wasn't to warm, so bring an extra layer!
Thanks for the review and recommendation - and extra thanks for braving Melbourne’s winter. We’ve had some gorgeous days this winter and been pretty lucky with the rain but we definitely got a chilly one on your tour.
We took this tour with Catherine as a guide. It was an excellent experience, Catherine was really knowledgeable and passionate at the sporting history of Melbourne and had some great stories to tell, especially about the tennis. Highly recommended!
Thanks for the super kind review and compliments for Cathy. She is a gem isn’t she!
Cathy was very knowledgeable about all the sports in the region and had great stories to tell about the different athletes she had met.
