Market Food Tour
Description
This is the only guided tour in Sofia that shows you the Ladies market. You will also visit the flea market in front of the Alexander Nevski Cathedral and the central covered market called Hali. Enjoy tastings and a full lunch. This is a walking tour, so please wear good and comfortable shoes. Your professional guide will be your friend in Sofia and show you a side of the city which is off the beaten path. In every food venue there will be a tasting included.

A busy market in a building from the beginning of the previous century. Many bakeries, souvenirs and decorations shop, food stall.
The biggest open-air market in Sofia's center. Lots of fruit and vegetables stalls, many specialized food shops, etc.

What a fascinating tour to get to know so much more about the Bulgarian people & their delicious food! Daniela was our amazing guide who shared her passion for Bulgarian food in a very natural & honest way. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone & especially those who enjoy food. Don’t be afraid if you have allergies or intolerances to food as this was an important consideration that was catered for.
Great way to get to know your way around the central part of Sofia and to check out places to eat that quite frankly you probably would not do so on your own if from out of town. Highly recommended.
Due to ideal circumstances (for us) we were the only ones taking the tour Sunday (04/08). This resulted in the undivided attention of the guide providing us with detailed information and making additional stops to requested places. Danny created an easy-going environment which made us prone to ask a lot of questions. The food-related history of Bulgaria came to life with each stop and bite that was offered to us. We felt like VIP's. I recommend this tour to be at the beginning of the trip so you can get to know Culinary Sofia in your first days in the city!
