Malta Private Boat Tour: Gozo, Comino, Blue Lagoon Crystal lagoon

Description
This 3-hour Private Boat Tour Malta is designed for guests who want to experience Comino and Gozo without the crowds. Unlike large group boats that drop hundreds of people at fixed points, this is a fully private boat charter, exclusively for your group. Your skipper navigates towards the Blue Lagoon, Crystal Lagoon, Comino caves, and the south coast of Gozo, but instead of stopping at busy shorelines, we anchor in open, crystal-clear water where you can swim directly from the boat in peace and comfort. The itinerary is flexible and adjusted to sea conditions and your preferences. There is no rushed schedule and no shared spaces — just your own private boat trip to Comino, tailored for you. Included on board: professional english speaking skipper, mask and snorkel, shaded seating, cushioned sun deck, swim ladder, Bluetooth audio, permits and ice box with ice. Departures from Cirkewwa, Malta or Mgarr Harbour, Gozo. Prices are per boat, not per person

Itinerary
We’ll drop you off at Cirkewwa Port, right next to the only kiosk/café in the area. Alternatively, we can drop you off at Cirkewwa Marina or Gozo Marina, depending on your preference. This can be a round trip returning to your starting point, or we can drop you off on either Gozo or Malta Island — your choice!
Blue lagoon Malta The blue lagoon is a blue crystal patch of water between Comino and Cominotto, where you have white sandy beaches on either side. The only way to get to the blue lagoon is by boat. It is one place where we stop with the private boat trip for a swim and snorkel. The clearness of the blue lagoon makes it feels like you are swimming in a pool. Given that it is a private boat, we anchor in the bluest parts of the lagoon, where you can get the best experience out of your Maltese vacation. The blue lagoon is very photogenic. It offers the most extensive stretch of blue waters in the Maltese islands; it is one of the top 5 things to do in malta. It is not a hidden gem, so the best way to explore the blue lagoon and its beaches is by private boat so you can get the best blue waters exclusive to your self.
Santa Marija Bay Santa Marija is a secluded beach in the north of Comino. The beach has a horseshoe shape. The main beach consists of white sand surrounded by tamarisk trees line at the back. You also have little Santa marija. This is a little bay close to the main beach. Little Santa marija has a healthy sea bed and marine life, making it a superb place for snorkeling, especially with parrotfish. Santa Marija is known for being more private than the rest of the island, making it a perfect family beach with a food stretch of sand where you can build sandcastles and play beach games. On the side of Santa Marija beach, you also have the only comino police station and a hundred meters up the road. The comino medieval chapel that looks it just came off a spaghetti western movie. We will visit this bay in a private boat. Close by to this beach, there are Santa Marija caves. We will also explore these during the boat trip, exploring caves and coves with crystal blue waters
Cominotto beach Cominitto beach can only be reached by a private boat. We will anchor in the blue waters of cominotto beach. This secluded bay in the blue lagoon is famous for some of the most famous movies shot there. Amongst them, there is Troy with Brad Pit, swept away by Madonna, and many more. This beach has a swim trough cave of around 50 meters to the other side of the island. This private boat trip is an adventure from start to finish, and places like cominotto and its beach give it part of the most memorable adventure.
Crystal lagoon Malta A spectacular lagoon, with turquoise waters, the coast of this lagoon is dotted with numerous caves, some with a secret sandy beach inside them. Our boat is built to be able to enter some of the caves, letting you explore the bluest waters, discovering the secret beaches, and getting information from a knowledgeable skipper about Malta, Gozo, and its islands. This is a private boat trip, and we will customize it to your group's needs. Crystal lagoon, is a snorkel paradise so we will schedule a small snorkel stop(always depending on the time of the year and our clients what they prefer). Snorkel equipment is provided free of charge. Another interesting fact is that crystal lagoon was used for many movies, including Popey, count of monte Cristo, Troy, and many more. Rest assured that the skipper will give you all this information amongst some historical and fun facts about the island. Get ready for the best excursion on your holiday.
Saint Mary's Tower While cruising on the private boat trip, we see this tower over the high cliffs of the lagoon. Saint Mary's tower dates back to the 17th century, and it is still in good condition. This tower formed part of a chain of defensive towers serving as a fortification and a warning system in case of invasion or spot pirates or smugglers. Apart from being a fortification from the 17th century, Saint Mary's Tower was also chosen to represent the Mediterranean prison Château d'If in the Count of Monte Cristo movie from 2002.
Gozo island On this private boat tour, we will cruise the south coast of Gozo, including Halfa rock, a small island in the south of gozo with a lot of history to it. The small island has sheer cliffs on most sides, but on the gozo side, there is a secluded bay only accessed by boat. You can also see salt pans that have been harvested the same way for generations. This hidden beach is well known for octopus and sargo bream
Cominotto Beach and reef The cominotto reef is at the north of the island. The private boat trip will cruise close to the coast, witnessing Malta’s magnificent naturally formed coastline, including numerous natural sea caves along the way. This reef is marked by a cardinal mark and it is well known for groupers and octopus
Hondoq ir-Rumien Bay Hondoq beach in the south of Gozo, has nice blue turquoise water, but more interestingly close by, you have a hidden inlet knows as bemberin gorge. This inlet can only be accessed by boat and has some magnificent caves and air pockets that can easily be done. The water inside the gorge is crystal clear, and there is numerous vantage points for cliff diving
Mgarr Harbor Gozo Gozo's Mġarr Harbour is magical in its simplicity. It is a beautiful and serene scene that every photographer, artist, and many who approach the island from the sea try to capture this humble harbor that stands for gozo island life values. The port is bustling with activity, from colorful fishing boats, yachts and fishermen mending their nets on one of the jetties. Forth Chambre dominates the harbor. The Knight of St John built the Fort. Adjacent to the Fort lies a small Gothic Chapel filled with little details dedicated to Lourdes, and a statue sits cozy in the cliff just underneath it
Crystal lagoon, is where they filmed count of monte Cristo and many other movies, it is good for snorkeling from the boat trip, and explore the comino caves off the boat
Qala Qala is in the southeast part of gozo island, it has a lovely coast and numerous caves along the way, including some pebbly beaches and a fortification at the further east point of gozo
Paradise Bay is a small sandy beach located in Cirkewwa, in the north of Malta. Surrounded by rocky cliffs and clear turquoise water, it is known for its calm atmosphere and beautiful swimming conditions. The bay offers shallow areas close to shore and deeper crystal-clear water further out, making it ideal for relaxing, swimming, and enjoying the peaceful coastal scenery before heading towards Comino.

Highly recommend this trip and doing a private tour. Our skipper Habib was fantastic, really nice person and totally accomodated tailoring to our needs. The boat was perfect and more than enough space for 4 of us. The locations were superb and going at 8.30am was perfect timing as the stop offs were not overcrowded. We thoroughly enjoyed the trip and was the highlight of our holiday
Fantastic experience. Traveled all around the island for 3 hours, swimming in lagoons and caves, seeing sites from the movie The Count of Monte Cristo. The team reached out a day before and helped coordinate a transfer from the cruise port out to the boat slip and gave some solid local recommendations on places to visit. Grabbed a quick grab and go sandwich before boarding and then had an absolute blast on the boat. Had our driver drop us in downtown Valletta afterwards, walked around for an hour and a half, which only reinforced doing this tour instead of hanging out downtown for the whole day. Don't get me wrong, the village is super cool, but a bit touristy, and I'd take this private boat tour over that for 5 hours all day long and twice on Sunday.
Was very personalized tour, very happy. I did afternoon and was perfect time and was not that busy, so we got a chance to swimm
An unforgettable experience! The staff is very friendly and takes the time to explain everything you need to know before the activity. The equipment was in excellent condition and the atmosphere was fantastic. Thank you to the entire team!
Justin was an AMAZING skipper and made sure he took us to all the secluded areas. I truly his kindness and attention to detail throughout our excursion.
This is a great trip. What a way to see the Blue Lagoon and the wonderful Maltese coastline. Our driver Theo was brilliant.

It’s always special exploring the clear waters, sea caves and hidden gems around Comino Island on a relaxing Malta boat tour. Thank you again for choosing us, and we hope to welcome you back soon for another unforgettable boat day 😊 Team Outdoor Explorers Malta.
I had a private charter boat trip to Gozo and the Blue Hole - it was absolutely an extraordinary experience which captured Malta’s natural beauty. I think this is a must visit for everyone to Malta - the mild sunshine, the Mediterranean crystal clear water and unique geological features (like underwater arch and coastal formations)… perfect combination for a relaxing holiday! I’d like to highlight Janet and Sam’s great arrangements. They sent not only the boat information but also some useful travel information of Malta! I feel their warmth in welcoming people to their beautiful country. Justin (skipper) is a very cheerful person who introduced every details of the geological features. As I always say, I enjoy travelling with people who enjoy their lives because they can cultivate an atmosphere of happiness- Justin for sure is one of them. I hope I can be on board again in the near future!

We loved it! Jo was our boat guy and he was so nice. We really had a great time.
Amazing experience from start to finish. Janet and the team were incredibly helpful and responsive when organising the trip, making everything really easy. Once on the boat, our skipper Clyde was fantastic — friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly knew all the best spots. Would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Malta — easily one of the highlights of our trip.
We took a two-hour boat tour with Zlatko today. It was fantastic, one of the best tours we've ever done. Snorkeling in the Blue Lagoon was an absolute highlight. The only downside: you have to pay a fuel fee of €79 on board. You only find this out on TripAdvisor after booking. It seems a bit dodgy. Nevertheless, we would book again. The tour was worth every penny!
Hi Britta, this is Janet, thank you so much for your lovely words—we’re really happy to hear you had such a fantastic time with Zlatko and enjoyed the Blue Lagoon snorkeling! 😊💙 I’m truly sorry to hear the fuel fee came as a surprise. It is listed on TripAdvisor in the exclusions, description, and on the booking ticket, and we also remind guests in chat and via WhatsApp. We hope to welcome you on board again someday! 🚤✨
