You learn to make popular Tapas the way the Spanish do, it was nice to be given the recipes after, and an opportunity to shop for the items in the Market
Thank you for joining our tapas cooking experience! We're delighted you enjoyed learning traditional Spanish techniques and found value in receiving the recipes to recreate the dishes at home. The market shopping component is one of our favorite parts as it gives you the authentic Spanish approach to selecting fresh ingredients.
Carmen and Alba were great fun, friendly and instructive. The recipes were easy to make and delicious
Thank you so much for this wonderful feedback! We're thrilled to hear that Carmen and Alba made your cooking experience both fun and educational, and that you found the recipes easy to follow. It's fantastic that you enjoyed the delicious results of your culinary adventure with us!
Fantastic 3.5-hour tapas course with a market tour — easily one of the best food experiences I’ve done. Javier absolutely made it. His market tour was engaging, informative, and full of personality — you can tell he’s genuinely passionate about Málaga’s food culture. He brought the whole experience to life and set the tone perfectly. The cooking session itself was great fun. Small group (around 11), very hands-on, and Pepo the chef kept everything clear and relaxed. We made several classic tapas that were genuinely delicious and easy to recreate. Great atmosphere, great food, and brilliantly run. Highly recommended.
Thank you so much for this wonderful review! We're thrilled that Javier's market tour and passion for Málaga's food culture made such a great impression, and that Pepo created such an enjoyable hands-on cooking experience. It's fantastic to hear you'll be recreating those delicious tapas at home!
Pleasant market tour with knowledgeable guide, Anaïs followed by olive oil tasting then an excellent practical experience conducted by Alba. Food and drink produced collaboratively was then shared in a convivial setting with provided drinks. To be recommended.
We started with Javier taking us to the market. Fun and informative. Alba was fabulous, made exception for persons with differing taste preference. She prepared in advance to maximize our session. It was interactive, enjoyable with a few tips along the way. The kitchen was spacious, clean.and professional looking. Not to forget Albas colleague who came to do the wash up - i did not catch her name. It was tasty to enjoy eating "the fruits of our labour" I would highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys food.
Great host (Elise). And chef is expert, fun, accomodating. Very nice and clean kitchen. Great group activity, met lots of fun people. Food and recipes were great. Nice tour of the market with excellent food sampling with descriptions and history. Very in depth experience well worth the price.
Through Carmen and Alba I have beautiful holiday memories. I would like to start by visiting the market hall and tasting hot products accompanied by historical background information. At the cooking school, we continue with an olive oil tasting. At our workstations we receive the individual tapa recipes explained and then we start cooking pleasure. Alba is a very prudent spouse and immediately on hand and helps. Thanks for the tips and recipes.
Great time cooking, learning and eating Spanish tapas food! Chefs were very knowledgeable and helpful.. thanks again!
Had a very nice morning! With first a visit to the local market hall with Carmen and then with cooking an extensive lunch of tapas with Pepo. Both are chefs and very enthusiastic about food and cooking. That's nice! We did the workshop on Thursday morning in January. The group normally goes up to 16, we were lucky to be the only ones. Now there was plenty of room to do things, chat and ask questions. Afterwards I got a lot of nice tips for good non-touristy eateries.
My son and I thoroughly enjoyed this class. Our instructor gave very clear instructions and we came away with some great recipes. The group was really friendly and we all enjoyed the wonderful meal we prepared.
