I can’t think of a better way to end the day at Machu Picchu. We only took the train as far as Ollantaytambo. Drinks, Dinner and Entertainment were all top notch. Highly recommended
An amazing experience from start to finish. Lovely welcome in comfortable lounge - excellent interior and lovely departure ceremony with traditional musicians and dancers. Amazing food and plenty of drinks. Well organised tour through the ruins and comfortable trip back. Staff on the train were really friendly, open bar was generous and music made the journey super fun. Well done
The Hiram Bingham was truly the highlight of our trip to Peru and a once-in-a-lifetime experience. We rode round-trip, boarding near the Sacred Valley and traveling directly to and from Machu Picchu. From start to finish, everything felt special. The food was excellent, the drinks were amazing, and the live music created a wonderful atmosphere throughout the journey. The views along the route were absolutely breathtaking and made the experience even more memorable. What stood out most was the staff. Every member of the team was warm, professional, and incredibly accommodating. Their service elevated an already amazing experience. We did experience an unexpected locomotive issue that left us on the train for approximately two additional hours. While that was certainly disappointing, the staff handled the situation exceptionally well. They kept guests informed, coordinated transportation, and did everything possible to minimize the disruption. Thanks to their efforts, what could have been a much more stressful situation was managed smoothly and professionally. I honestly can’t imagine visiting Machu Picchu without taking the Hiram Bingham. It was worth every penny and remains one of the most memorable travel experiences I’ve ever had.
Get on the “Orient Express” of the Andes for an unforgettable visit to the Machu Pichu. A must do especially if you’re staying at the Belmont Rio Sagrado since the train departs from there. Pros: - just close your eyes and let them deal with everything - amazing train, you’re back to the Gatsby era. Gastro food, unlimited drinks, bar with live music and observatory, red carpet at departure and return - Machu Pichu tour organized to the last details - transport back to Cusco if necessary Cons: - pricey
A great experience, unique. From the hospitality to the table service, the quality of the meals and the professionalism of the staff, it was an incredible and unforgettable experience. We were able to experience the greatness of the country , its history , its culture and the kindness of its people, in a privileged environment, high luxury and high class.
We loved this train it was Amazing, the food was ok but the entertainment and drinks were fabulous. Great fun and atmosphere we were all dancing as the band played and we were delayed a few hours as there was a train stuck in our way but we didn’t care we were having so much fun we didn’t want the experience to end. Highly recommend a must do
This was the funniest train trip ever! It's not cheap, but all-inclusive. Combining fine dining with a great party atmosphere in an amazing bar with a great band was truly awesome. Worth it!
This luxury train is the way to go visit Machu Picchu. They have a fun bar car with a great view of the surrounding area and live music. They serve you an excellent meal, and provide a shoulder bag and metal water bottle for your hike. Our tour guide Jose was very knowledgeable and a great communicator.
On recommendation from the travel agency we use this train to get from Cuzco to Aguas Calientes. The price is high but the experience clearly deserves it. The train is conditioned as an old railway careful in all the details. The Service is excellent in all aspects: VIP room, staff who take care of transporting luggage to the destination hotel, welcome drinks, regional show in the station, gift of backpack and thermos with water, etc. During the trip, a branch and dinner are served accompanied by wines and soft drinks. There is a panoramic carriage that allows you to take good photos of the route. In addition there is another car with bar in which they serve combined, champagne, etc. with live music which puts a special point of animation to the journey. In short, this train trip can be one of the most remarkable experiences of the visit to Peru and is worth more than what it costs.
Once in a lifetime experience!! Worth every penny. Not only is it a luxury experience with fantastic service, delicious food, everything included that you could need, and wonderful entertainment, it’s also a beautiful ride that ends with an extremely informative tour. The tour guides were encyclopedias of knowledge and did a great job educating our group and leading us through the site. I highly recommend the Hiram Bingham for anyone looking for a unique, world-class experience.
