Visited here for my Husbands birthday as he loves whisky, I'm not a fan but actually discovered one that I enjoy! Whisky choice was excellent and our guide Lydia was outstanding! Her knowledge was exceptional and she was very fun and friendly! The basement itself was a lovely spot to sit chat and drink! Highly recommend!!

Everything was first rate from the very cool location with its amazing history to the incredible host and guide (Hayley) to the brilliant whiskies included in the Luxury tasting. A wonderful way to delve deeper into the world of whisky and a definite highlight of my trip.

My husband and I enjoyed The Lost Close luxury whisky experience and our guide Haley. We were able to taste whisky from all the regions of Scotland and Haley provided entertaining commentary along the way. The setting was intimate and unique. Our tasting group was split into two groups so we only had six people including us in our tasting room. Would had we given five stars except it was a bit pricey for the experience. Definitely recommend!

Ash was wonderful and very welcoming. We loved the whiskeys and stories. However, we did miss a few minutes of the tour as our ticket time was wrong.

Great experience from start to finish. The tour is different from most whisky tasting tours, and even experienced whisky connoisseurs will enjoy this one. The setting is unique, located underground in part of an old jail only recently excavated. After a brief tour of the underground area, we settled in for the tasting. We got to sample 5 different bottles of whisky, selected from various regions of Scotland. The "luxury" part of the tour is that some of these bottles are rare, some are old (41 years for one bottle), and all of them are excellent. These are not the usual "intro to whisky" bottles found in most other whisky tastings. Our guide, Mark, was very knowledgeable and friendly. He gave some background about each bottle, and led us through tasting each sample. He was very open to answering questions, and the whole process was very relaxed and fun. If you are someone who has done a lot of whisky tours, or if this will be your first, I'd highly recommend doing this tour. You won't be disappointed.
