Lucerne Farms and Cheese Tasting Tour

We had a fantastic time. Amalia is a friendly, funny, knowledgeable, and charming guide. The scenery was breathtaking, and the cheese, fruit and apple juice was yummy. We couldn’t imagine a better experience. Thank you Amalia!

It was a wonderful afternoon, especially because the weather held up nicely while we were out. It’s amazing to see the beauty and experience the care taken by the local farmers. Michael and Sandy were our guides, and they were extra friendly and knowledgeable, even sharing tips beyond our specific day trip scope.

This was a perfect leisure day activity in the countryside with a fresh, relaxed picnic at the farm! Highly recommend also trying the yogurt in additions to the cheese, fruit, milk and apple juice. Melanie was great! We finished a little early due the threat of weather and she even offered to give us a small tour one we made it back to Lucerne to make up for the extra, lost time.

The tour was a great leisure day activity in the countryside with a delicious, fresh picnic right on the farm. We even finished a little early because of the threat of weather and Melanie offered to show us around the city at the end to make up for the lost time!

Melanie was a delightful and well informed guide. She was prompt but also personable. The tour was so well balanced, both in travel and information/conversation. We were given a treat at the end of the tour -since we were a few minutes early returning to Luzern, she gave us the history of the Cathedral and taken inside.

Our tour with Amaila was amazing. After a short hick up on the meeting point we were off. We walked to the tram going up a step hill and then the view was just amazing. Our tour walked through passage side passing through farm land. What a perfect day it was. The highlight was to talk to the farmer and see his cow shed and feed barns. Produce was purchased from the farmers stand, milk, apple juice, cheese and strawberries. OMG We highly recommend this tour with Amaila. 5 star rating. Thank you also for the other guide taking us to the lake cruises at the end of the day.

My parents and I had a wonderful time on this tour. Our guide, Monika, was prompt, knowledgeable, and a lot of fun. She gave us options along the way and it never felt like we were rushing or being paraded around. We got some wonderful goodies, were able to meet animals and farmers, and enjoyed the magnificent scenery above Lucerne. As a precaution this tour is more on the 'hike' side of things. Monika was very understanding of my parents ability to go up and down mountains quickly and be one slippery terrain. She was prepared with walking sticks and shoe spikes, so none of the walk was very difficult, but do be prepared for 3-4 hours outside and on paths with hills.

We had an amazing experience. Sabrina was very knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommend this country side tour. It was beautiful.

Some treacherous walking trails, should have been aware of these before booking. Otherwise, it was very nice though not what we expected. Thought we would be visiting inside a farm house, where we’d be served our delicious cheese and flavorful wine. Having said all this, our guide, Dave was EXCELLENT!

We absolutely loved the Farms & Cheese Tour! Our tour leader Amalia was amazing – full of energy, knowledge, and made the whole experience so much fun. The tour itself was super relaxed and accessible, even for those who aren't great on foot, which made it very inclusive. We saw a wonderful variety of animals, from cows to even a turtle. It’s also lovely to see how the tour supports the local farm shop. I could imagine a more challenging version of the tour being fun too – perhaps more tailored for locals or Swiss guests who are up for a bit more of a hike. But for tourists, the current level is absolutely perfect. No improvement suggestions from our side – just a heartfelt thank you for a fantastic day!
