You will arrive at the best viewpoint for the perfect photo opportunity for this iconic sign. Did you know that the sign was originally a real estate billboard?
There are more than 2700 stars on the Walk of Fame. Here, you will also visit the TCL Chinese Theater, which has been the venue of the most prominent red carpet premieres where Hollywood’s biggest stars have come to watch their movies. The Kodak Theatre, where the Oscars are held, is also steps away!
The Academy Museum of Motion Pictures is the largest museum in the United States devoted to the arts, sciences, and artists of moviemaking. Its glass rooftop dome is an architectural beauty.
The Petersen Automotive Museum has one of the world's largest collections, and its architecture is a sight to see!
LACMA is the largest art museum in the western United States. You will have an opportunity to stop for a photo opportunity at its famous "Urban Light" installation.
Option to take a stroll through the La Brea Tar Pits, an active paleontological research site in Los Angeles. Natural asphalt has seeped up from the ground for tens of thousands of years, and over many centuries, the bones of trapped animals have been preserved.

Beverly Hills is known to be one of the most glamorous places to live, eat, play and, especially, shop. A drive through Rodeo Drive and a glance at some of Beverly Hills most glamorous hotels such as the Beverly Hills Hotel and the Beverly Wilshire, where Pretty Woman Julia Roberts met Richard Gere. The Venice Canals of America are man-made waterways founded by a tobacco millionaire named Abbot Kinney in 1905 as a beach resort town. We will drive over the bridges to take in the beautiful view of the canals and the unique homes alongside them. Option for a photo stop.
The Venice Boardwalk is the second most visited destination in Southern California with an average of over 10 million visitors per year. Muscle Beach on the Boardwalk drew fame when celebrities and bodybuilders like Arnold Schwarzenegger and Lou Ferrigno frequented the outdoor gym for their workouts.
Santa Monica is a beautiful and bustling beach town where you can stroll the famous pier where Forrest Gump jogged Route 66 to the Pacific or you can grab a bite or a drink at the dozens of trendy hotels, bars and restaurants.

I had an amazing experience on this private tour. It was intimate and personal which I liked. I feel like I got the best tour of Los Angeles, was able to take amazing pictures and did not feel rushed. I would definitely recommend this private tour if you are visiting LA for the first time and want to see the best parts of LA.

This tour was THE tour to book! It had everything: comfort, super friendly and knowledgeable driver, flexibility - we saw sites we wanted and skipped the ones we didn't care for. We saw all the nooks and crannies of LA, the gorgeous neighborhoods, celebrity homes, and the iconic sites such as the Hollywood sign and so much more. We had compared many other tours of LA, but they all missed one or two components. This tour had it all. We even asked for restaurant recommendations and other cities to visit and were provided a lengthy list of options according to our taste. Customer service is also top notch.

It was a perfect day. Dexter showed us many many neighborhoods of LA, secret great places to see the Hollywood sign, Venice beach, Santa Monica Pier, the Venice Canals, Hollywood, Beverly Hills, view of The Valley via a lookout, a bunch of celebrity homes, the one - google it. It’s a house under construction and huge, a fun fruit stand (delicious), great lunch options at the farmers market, Nakatomi Plaza (by request), and probably so many more things that I’m forgetting now. He provides lots of great narrative without being annoying and fun facts without sounding like a know it all. He is a great tour guide. Lots of personal touches on the commentary too. We really enjoyed the conversations. I had 2 teenagers with us too and even they found it interesting. Dexter did not stress over timing and knows more than I could have ever imagined. His knowledge of the city was really impressive. I would highly recommend this tour. He will definitely make it personal so do some research on things you want to see and things you don’t. If you don’t have time to do research, just let him do his thing…you will not be disappointed.

This was the second tour of Hollywood for my 88-year-old mom and I, but the first for my 7-year-old son. We wanted the tour to be an experience that he could relate to and be exciting for us at the same time. Because the tour was flexible, Dexter did everything to accommodate all our wishes. For my son, visiting luxury car dealerships that we would never see in our country was a priority - Bugatti, Lamborghini, Ferrari, Bentley, McLaren, Rolls Royce, Tesla (bullet proof Cybertruck and the new AI powered Robotaxi) just to name a few. Seeing celebrity mansions like the one Michael Jackson stayed in and the star of Dwayne "The Rock' Johnson (whose mom is from the South Pacific just like my son and late husband). Since we live in a country that does not have fast food restaurants or chain store, Dexter gave us a brief stop at Walmart and joined us for an early lunch at Chick-Fil-A (our first time there). This was an amazing fun, unique knowledgeable tour of Los Angeles Hollywood, Bel Air, Beverly Hills and more... customized so that three generations of our family would completely enjoy our layover day. Tallawah LA Tour was AWESOME! My wife and I searched for a one day LA tour to celebrate her birthday and came across Tallawah. So glad we did. Dexter picked us up from LAX and modified the tour so we could stop at all the places on our bucket list. From the Hollywood sign to the walk of fame to the Crypto.com Arena to Beverly Hills to the Santa Monica Pier, we saw it all. We even drove by celebrity homes, famous shopping areas and restaurants. Dexter was patient with us as we took lots of pictures along the way. We asked him several questions about the landmarks and he gave us the history behind each place we visited. The tour lasted over eight hours and we enjoyed every single minute of it. We highly recommend them if you are looking to explore the LA area with a very cool knowledgeable guide.

The experience was amazing, felt like a celebrity to be able to see these famous sites in person. Our driver was very friendly, knowledgeable and very accommodating. When I'm back in LA. I came from Florida with my family for 1 week in LA. There were 5 of us and the car was so spacious. It fit us comfortably. In 1 day, we got to see, Venice, the Hollywood sign, Beverly Hills, Bel-air, Santa Monica, Hollywood Walk of Fame and some fabulous neighborhoods with celebrity homes. Our driver suggested food options and we got to take our time for lunch and he was very patient. We even had dessert at another place he suggested. So glad we took a private tour that was flexible because it was so easy going and enjoyable.

I am really not one to leave reviews and such, however, this experience was so positive and unique that I feel compelled to leave one. The tour itself was spectacular as the homes were breathtaking and the varied storylines for each were intriguing! The true gem in this tale was our tour guide, Dexter...his knowledge of the area was impressive, his accent was delightful and he was just genuinely a KIND individual! We started the tour at a quaint authentic Korean BBQ restaurant (highly recommended) and then we hit the town, so to speak!! There is M-O-N-E-Y in those hills and the homes reflected it!! Not only were we gleaning knowledge about the city but Dexter told some delightful tales of his own!! We cannot wait till we return to LA as another tour will definitely be on our itinerary! I was in stuck in LA having a horrible experience with the friends I traveled from Florida to visit. It was so bad, I just wanted to go home. After venting to my mom she recommended a Tallawah tour of LA. I wasn’t feeling that suggestion at the time but went with it. She booked it and Dexter came to get me. I entered the ride very down… BUT! Lemme just say, Tallawah Tours and Dexter really made my time in LA memorable. Dexter has a patient, laid back and calm personality but he is also hilarious!
