Longji Rice Terraces and Yao Long Hair Cultural Show Day Tour

Your driver-guide will pick you up at 8:30 AM from your hotel lobby, Guilin Railway Station, Guilin Airport, downtown Guilin, or any other designated location. Your adventure begins with a pickup from your hotel in Guilin. Sit back and enjoy a scenic 2-hour drive to the Longji area.

Arrive at Huangluo Yao Village and discover the daily life and traditions of the Yao people. The highlight is the famous Yao Ladies’ Long Hair Show (around 40 minutes). The performance showcases unique cultural traditions such as wedding celebrations, harvest festivities, the Red Yao clothing festival, and the stories behind the Yao women’s legendary long hair. Next, continue to Ping’an Village, one of the most well-known areas of the Longji Rice Terraces. From the parking lot, take a golf cart one way up to the hilltop. Spend about 20 minutes enjoying panoramic views over the rice paddies, villages, and surrounding mountains. Then, take a relaxed walk along a mostly flat path through bamboo groves and beside the terraces to Viewing Platform No. 2, where you’ll see the iconic “Seven Stars with the Moon” terrace formation. After the sightseeing, enjoy lunch in the village and sample local dishes. such as: bamboo rice, bamboo chicken, smoked pork with bamboo shoots, etc.

After a wonderful day tour of the Longji Rice Terraces, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Guilin. The journey takes about 2 hours, during which you can take a nap and relax. You will arrive at your Guilin hotel around 6:00 pm.
