Keith was wonderful! Showed us wonderful places and taught us a lot about Scotland. Very organized. Always made sure we had a good place to eat and frequent restroom stops.
Tour guide was exceptional and very knowledgeable. Made the entire tour for personal for each guest.
Hi Stacy, thanks for your 5 star review of our Loch Ness and Highlands small group tour.
My husband and I had a wonderful time on our Loch Ness and Highlands tour with Heart of Scotland Tours. We are so thankful to have had Angela as our tour guide - she was incredibly knowledgeable and made the trip extremely worthwhile. The trip itself involved a great balance between seeing the beauty of the highlands and learning about its rich history. While we were on the bus a lot, all of the stops were well-timed and really helped break up the day. We would recommend for anyone visiting Edinburgh.
Thanks for your review and it's great to hear you enjoyed your trip to the Highlands!
I had a tour on Monday 15 of June and my group guide was Roddy. I`m not a driver, I had limited time and I wanted to see as much of Highlands as I could, so a day tour was the best option. Browsing through different tour companies I chose Heart of Scotland Tours for they seemed to personalize the experience the most and I was totally right in this assumption. Roddy was really great in managing full (small) bus of different people, gave personal attention to each one separately (and I do not talk just about myself, I`ve seen him interact with our entire group) and did his best to accommodate wishes and preferences of his charges. His information was succinct and helpful, and he had been giving time to just enjoy the views with very good playlist of Scottish music. The route itself was mostly standard for such kind of tours (as far as I can tell from my research) and given the covered territory one cannot really complain about shortness of the photo stops, but Roddy tried not to made sanitary stops longer than necessary, and gave some personal touch with what I think was some unexpected photo stops) There was an opportunity to take a boat trip on Loch Ness during the farthest and longest stop of the trip. I did not take it and made this decision at the time of the booking the tour. I would advise to think about it before the trip, for you need to inform your guide fairly early on the tour. It was a good day, good guide, good music)
Thanks for your lovely review which is much appreciated.
Angela was SO MUCH FUN! I loved her playlists that she played on the tour and how they matched the areas we drove in. Her personality was amazing too. She is so nice and has a great sense of humor. I would definately take another tour with her again. I loved all of the info she provided and how she was very organized and kept track of the time. My favorite parts of the tour was her playlists and the info she provided. She was very clear on how the tour worked and when everyone was expected to be back at the bus. She is very friendly and very responsible. She is also a very good and safe driver! We had a good amount of time at each stop. The Loch Ness cruise is 100% worth it. It was optional for my specific tour. If you take the optional tour, just let Angela (Or your driver) know if you want to go. If your tour says you are able to book while on the tour. I loved going on the water and I think it gave a really unique point of view from the legend of the Loch Ness monster as well as the geology of the land. If you are not interested in the legend as much, the lake is still a very beautiful view and a refreshing experience.
Hi Katie, thanks for such a lovely review of Angela and our trip to Loch Ness. It's much appreciated.
Roddy our guide and driver was wonderful. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the history of Scotland and often informed the group as we drove what took place in history at any given area we happened to be in. He answered every question and is a delightful kind individual. We learned a lot from him. It’s a long day of driving and enjoyed every moment especially the music he played as we drove through the highlands. We highly recommend this smaller group tour. Thanks Roddy! More bagpipes please!
Hi Brian, thanks for joining Roddy on our trip to Loch Ness and the Highlands. Much appreciated!
Roddy our guide and driver was amazing. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the history of Scotland, we learned a lot from him on this trip. He also answered any questions we had. This is a great tour with small group. It’s a long day of driving but you see a lot in one day if that’s all the time you have. We loved it and highly recommend it!
Hi Brian, thanks for joining Roddy and choosing Heart of Scotland Tours for your day trip to Loch Ness and the Highlands.
This was an excellent tour. Keith was great as the guide and had a lot of wonderful stories. His knowledge of History is amazing!! It was a long tour, but Keith made it go by very quickly. The hills and mountains and sheep and cows are must see. Went up to Loch Ness and while the boat tour is not included in the price, Keith made it very easy to purchase a ticket to go on the boat. It was a beautiful day on the boat (chilly) and we even saw some mountain goats. Unfortunately, Nessie did not make an appearance! We did have rain, but as they say in Scotland, the weather is always changing and that was true!! The bus was very comfortable, Keith was an excellent driver, and it was a delightful day. Highly recommend if you’re looking to get out of Edinburgh and see the sites all around the country. There are now many places I want to go back to and tour on my own. Would highly recommend Keith and this tour!
Hi Marjorie, thanks for such a comprehensive, kind review. It's much appreciated.
Small bus store allows you to go to the small road of amazing beautiful Highlands of Scotland, I’m quite impressed on how beautiful the Highland of Scotland is, this is coming from someone who have explorers Switzerland for months, nonstop, beauty with misty air, make it more mysterious, and , Angela is such a good driver and tour guide, make the Tour more special. TripAdvisor on the other hand, be careful, I have booked once and they said that my booking go through and a day later I make another booking didn’t realize that they actually charged me twice and when I disputed my bank stay withtheir side because they are a big company. As much as possible directly to the Tour operator.
Thanks very much for joining Angela on our Loch Ness and Highlands tour. We appreciate your business.
We did the12 hour Highland and Loch Ness tour with Andy. It was a delightful experience and Andy provided a good historical narration. I loved the Highlands, but Loch Ness is just another lake. Okay to visit, but if doing again I would skip the optional boat trip. In sum total, the whole day was good value. Heart of Scotland runs good tours of a beautiful country.
Thanks for such a nice review of Andy and Heart of Scotland Tours.
