We took this tour with our excellent guide Tom and really enjoyed it. Stirling Castle is a must visit, and our guide did a great job. This was a very worthwhile day trip from Edinburgh.
I would say again my driver was top notch Ewin was funny knows his history was very kind to me But I did t think it was worth the money I paid we stopped only for 15min to look at kelpies loved it But that’s all nothing. Else to do or see off to next stop nice view again off to castle this I found boring But again love my driver haves used Rabbies in past amazing tour group would use them again but not for this it was not worth the money
We had an absolutely fantastic experience with Rabbie’s on the Stirling Castle & Loch Lomond tour! From beginning to end, our guide Jack was amazing. He was incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and entertaining, sharing Scottish history, stories, and information throughout the entire day. He didn’t simply drive us from place to place—he truly made the experience come alive. What impressed us most was how kind and accommodating Jack was with my 89-year-old mother-in-law. He made sure she was comfortable and able to enjoy the day, and that extra care meant so much to our family. And Jack absolutely looks the part! His tartan and kilt added even more Scottish character to the experience. His enthusiasm for Scotland is genuine and contagious. We took several tours during our UK trip, and Jack truly set the bar high. If you’re considering a tour of Scotland, I cannot recommend Rabbie’s enough—and if you’re lucky enough to have Jack as your guide, you’re in for an exceptional day. Five stars all the way! We would book with Rabbie’s again in a heartbeat!
It’s a full day but not cramped up. Wear comfortable shoes for walking, and a small hike at Loch Lomond. Do a free guided tour at Stirling Castle as it was well worth the time. Alex B was great, and gave us a good sense of real life in Scotland.
We had a great time on this tour. Our tour guide was Paul and he was both informative and funny. The Kelpies are a wonder to see close and the story behind there making is a good one! The Bonnie, bonnie banks of Lock Lomand - short stop here but oh so beautiful. We stopped for lunch in the quaint town of Callendar then onto the castle. Magnificent views and so much history. Great tour.
Wonderful views and stops along the way. Our tour guide, Stuart, had great anecdotal stories and some histories of the sites. Very punctual and funny. Stirling castle is a must see and gives Edinburgh castle a run for its money.
Jamie our guide was the BEST! Coach bus was nice.. can’t say enough.. oh except he does book up the top of Loch Lomond on a hike pretty fast.. but it’s WORTH THE VEIW!!!! Stunning trip, better guide!!
Cameron was an excellent guide. He was jovial, knowledgeable and humorous. He was a very safe driver and expedient. He took good care of us and we learned a lot!
The kelpies were awesome. Such a great idea to create these horse sculptures as a tribute to the Clydesdale horses and their role in the Industrial Revolution. I must admit that Loch Lomond was a bit of a disappointment just a lake and a wharf, not much of a view. Stirling castle was great. For a historian make sure to appreciate the site of the battle of Stirling bridge, bannockburn. The castle is way bigger than it looks. Allocate enough time for the tour. Our guide Shea was awesome. Spent time patiently answering questions, explained Scottish history and also gave us a great tour of Scottish music. I must say there were some surprises for me on that front.
This was a wonderful experience! We loved our guide Cameron, he was absolutely amazing! I would highly recommend it!
