Lisbon & Porto Private Luxury Trip

Joaquim was extremely professional and knowledgeable. His car was very clean. He always communicated everything with us. And he went above and beyond what was expected. He wasn’t hired to provide your service in Porto but he gave us a full itinerary of what to do and see in our day in Porto. It was excellent. He helped us make the most of our limited time. He also gave us wonderful dinner recommendations in Lisbon. We would definitely go back to Portugal and use Joaquim.

We had a hard stop at night in Douro Valley, coming in from Lisbon. We could have gotten there several different ways but it would have taken hours (most of the day) to do it ourselves with little breaks. So instead we booked a black car with The site Day Trip, to our great amazement, suggested stop offs on the way to turn a long travel day into its own comfy and magical adventure. The app suggest 8 places we could go on the way and we chose 3 - Coimbra Aveiro and Porto. Sure enough, when our car arrived smack on time at our Lisbon hotel the next day, our adventure began. The service was appropriately professional, our driver spoke English very well and have us excellent recommendations through the day, and helped us manage some lovely sightseeing goals in 3 landmark cities. We had the best time because we had advice for where to go and what to do, and stopped for a couple hours in each place to get the highlights and relax with wine and snacks to see all the views. The driver also communicated well by text and phone. Do NOT do this experience without a working cell! The end of the road featured a restaurant called Rabelos in Gaia which the driver recommended. Since we were not going IN to Porto for a long visit, he smartly gave us a way to see all of Porto's finest views from the other side of the river at a rooftop in Gaia! The restaurant provided us place for our luggage and served us graciously from coffee to wine to dinner and dessert. Then we got our luggage and went on our way to the final stop in the Valley. We have met other tourists on our trip who were amazed that in a single day, we took a boat ride and ate Ovos in Aveiro, saw the Josephine library and University and drank wine at a rooftop overlooking the city in Coimbra, and had a 5 hour luxury dinner in Porto, before winding up at a villa in the Douro. This type of journey is indeed impossible to have in a relaxing stress free environment, if you're training or driving yourself (can't drink and drive anyway)! 5 stars for international-quality services well worth the money.

I had a wonderful time Rui was extremely knowledgeable about the geography, the history and of course the culture. We discussed many things, it was a 3 + hour ride and not only do I highly recommend Rui, when I come back I will make sure to specifically request him.
