Due to the extremely high visitors’ volume and internal policies, Auschwitz-Birkenau reserves the right to cancel tours or guides at any time, even a few days or hours before the visit. - Tour confrmation: The day before the trip, by 6:00 PM, you will receive a confrmation or cancellation* of the trip via SMS or Whatsapp. The message will include information regarding the time and place of pickup. *Bear in mind - a tour may be cancelled if no guide is assigned to us. In this case, we execute the cancellation with a 100% refund.

Driver was brilliant and updated me that he was running 15 minutes late which was brilliant, tour of Auschwitz is really good and informative and liked the idea of the headphones so we could here the guide however when we went to Birkenhead the guide walked way to fast and we couldn’t keep up we were a few minutes behind but he just started talking without us so we were slightly upset we missed most of what was said

Everything went smoothly, prompt pick up from hotel in clean & comfortable transport. Driver Patrick was very helpful as was the tour guide who was very knowledgeable. Experience was sobering and really gives you an understanding of the atrocities that went on.

The tour was cancelled at the very last minute, on the very morning itself. Very disappointing as we had travelled all the way to Krakow for this.
Hello, This statement is misleading. Cancellations are never communicated “on the morning itself.” In line with the tour description, guests are always informed the day before if a tour must be cancelled due to the unavailability of a licensed guide — a condition clearly outlined at the time of booking. The fact that the message or email was opened on the same day does not change when it was sent, nor does it transfer responsibility to the operator. Notification was delivered in accordance with the stated procedure and within the timeframe described in the tour terms. We regret any disappointment caused by the cancellation. However, the information policy was transparent from the outset and followed correctly in this case.
Very very poignant and tough to see, but a must do in life so we never forget how terrible things can get and hopefully how far we’ve come.

While the trip to Auschwitz-Birkenau itself was well organised and very educational, the organisation from Thousand Miles was terrible. We booked the trip to be picked up from our hotel at 9.30 AM. At 10 the evening before we were contacted in our hotel and told we would be picked up at 5.55AM, with no option for a refund. We received no communication ahead of the trip telling us we’d need our passports. There was very little communication about the transfer from one site to another and that transfer was extremely busy, the bus was too full and we had to stand. On the return trip we were not returned to our hotel as advised on the ticket. I would urge anybody the think twice before using this company.

Need to be fit and have stamina. Lots of stairs and steps, many without handrails. Overall experience was an insightful and chilling reminder of what Humans are capable of. We had an excellent Tour Guide who told us the process of the people from arriving at the Camp to being gassed.

A must do when in Krakow and the tour guide was very knowledgeable. This is a harrowing experience but very much worthwhile.
