Korean cooking class in Haeundae, Busan

Min’s private cooking class was the highlight of our Korea trip. Our family had so much fun and she was very patient with my somewhat reluctant teens. Min taught not only the cooking steps, but also some Korean food culture basics. We also appreciated that she was able to pivot mid-cook due to some food preferences. Her sister took photos throughout that she later shared with me on WhatsApp. At the end, Min even pulled out a Busan map and circled all the places we should visit. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Cooking with Min is such a fun experience! Her studio is beautiful, the kitchen is huge, and Min is incredibly well prepared. She is very funny, and she loves to share the history of Korean food. My family and I had a wonderful time making lunch with her. My daughter is an incredibly picky eater, so she didn’t participate in the class, but Min still made her feel very welcome and gave her snacks to eat while the rest of us cooked. We made bibimbap, seaweed soup, and scallion pancakes. Everything was delicious, but I LOVE bibimbap, so I am so excited to recreate at home what I learned from Min. While we were eating, Min gave us tips on what to do in Busan, and she also gave us a great recommendation for a bulgogi restaurant to try after we saw the Saturday night drone show on the beach. We had an incredible experience, and we would love to cook with Min again if we make it back to Busan. Highly recommended!!

This was such a fun afternoon! Min was very charismatic and we learned about Korean culture in addition to cooking. She was accommodating to our dietary needs (vegetarian) and spoke perfect English. We left very full, too! Highly recommended!

This class was fantastic! Min is an incredible cook and teacher—knowledgeable, personable, and genuinely a pleasure to be around. The space was clean, organized, and easy to find thanks to Min’s clear directions. Everything we prepared was absolutely delicious. The cooking class that Min runs would definitely be the best we have ever attended. Min not only gives a wonderful introduction to Korean cooking style and dishes but also includes informative insights into the Korean culture and language. This is all done with warmth and enthusiasm. My husband and I greatly enjoyed learning so much from Min and the delicious recipes we dined upon.
