A wonderful introduction to Kolkota by a master storyteller and acute observer of this extraordinary city. Absolutely loved the past colonial history coming to life through the lens of architecture …transporting us back to a very different time. Could not recommend this tour more highly!
Great tour! Learnt so much about my own city and its history. Would absolutely do other tours when I’m visiting next time!
An excellent tour and Manjit is a brilliant guide. Very informative, learnt loads I didn't know on the founding of Kolkata and a nice stop for a cuppa Char to boot. Thoroughly recommended.
Manjit gives wonderful and honest insight into colonial Kolkata. He takes pride in his city and its history. This tour makes you feel like you go back in time and experience the city as it was. By the end you will feel like a local!
Fabulous experience. What an incredible four hours - seeing Kolkata through the eyes of Manjit made it amazing. The passion and love for the city shone through - absolutely a must do !
It was a awesome walking tour , Manjit is a great story teller and we learnt so much about Calcutta. I highly recommended.l it , will plan to do thr cultural kaleidoscope tour in the future.
Truly amazing experience — Manjit is a gifted storyteller and makes you wish your history classes in grade school were taught this way. He mixes historical context with humor and personal anecdotes from his loved experience that make this tour one you won’t forget! Would recommend his other series too — cultural kaleidoscope. This tour focused on the European history of Kolkata, starting from when the East India company first came to Kolkata all the way to colonization. Our group was mixed — second gen kids from America as well as Kolkata locals, and yet everyone had a blast.
Thanks so much we very much enjoyed our time with our guide and we highly recommend this guide and this tour of some of the significant buildings of Kolkata. We would not have been able to do this by ourselves. The guide is a knowledgeable and thoroughly agreeable person with an excellent knowledge of Kolkata . This is exactly what we were looking for and even though are usually independent travellers we are very glad to have taken this tour. If you are interested in the history and architecture of Kolkata, You really must take this short tour. Excellent work.
This tour become a compulsory part of joining our project in this fascinating city as a way of orienting people to life in Calcutta. Everyone loved it!
