Windmills, no. keukenhof yes.

Early hours at Zaanse windmills was a waste of time. We arrived at 8:30, nothing opened until 10, and food places at 12:00. Incoherent process. Tulip gardens exact opposite. Maps made sense, beautiful everywhere!!

Awesome tour, but no rows of tulips

This was an awesome tour. My only issue is with the cover thumbnail photo chosen for this trip. There was no opportunity for us to walk down rows of tulips in front of a windmill. The photo is unfortunately misleading. You will see windmills and tulips (but not really rows of tulips depending on when you go). Kukenof (spelling?) is more expansive gardens, and not rows of tulips, at least not rows you can walk in. Other than that I'd recommend the tour to anyone thinking about it

Wonderful Views but Poor Organization.

This is Holland was not very well organized. I understand that it is full of tourist waiting for their color for the bus to be called but having more of a designated area would have been nice. The bus was late leaving along with late picking us up from Zaanse. Overall both locations were wonderful to visit! We got lucky with the weather as it only lightly rained but I do wish we had more time at Zaanse.

Fantastic experience and...

Fantastic experience and highly recommend to do this tour when tulips are in season. Gives enough time to explore the gardens and bring you back to Amsterdam. The windmill trip was an amazing experience too.

A must see in April

Beautiful and immaculate! We went in mid April and it was extremely crowded, but the gardens are large enough that for the most part the crowds were manageable. Take a boat trip, go up in the windmill, walk throughout the gardens, and spend at least a half day or more. If you're a flower enthusiast, plan for a day.

Netherlands trip

We didn't think we had enough time at the windmills. We also found a number of shops were closed. We had to hurry through everything to return to the bus for the trip to the tulip garden.
