Such a fun day, spent 55 mins at the lake which was amazing and then a great lunch was prepared. Did spend 15 minutes looking at types of trees at the start and didn’t have too long in Eli Creek which would have been nicer but such a funky fun day out.
Paul was a great guide for our day on Fraser Island! The tour was comprehensive with history of the island and seeing the iconic sights. We were even able to see some whales in the distance! Even in the winter the water wasn’t too chilly. Overall this tour was fun and informative!
Great day trip, excellent guide/driver, Paul. Really enjoyed the itinerary, saw whales, sea eagle, dingoes... Wonderful trees in the forest, beautiful lake swim. Dolphins around the barge on return. Fantastic, thank you Paul.
Fantastic day and our guide Paul was so friendly and informative and so welcoming
We had an enjoyable day on this tour. The day starts a bit laborious with a quite lengthy drive on the beach to the shipwreck. This is understandable though considering the size of the island. Then a stop to Eli Creek. Lake McKenzie and the rainforest walk. The dip in the lake was a standout ,but I think a little more effort could go into the morning tea and lunch provided, especially seeing as the rival company were offering beer and wine, while we just had juice and tea/coffee. The rainforest walk was outstanding. Overall, it's a long day but very enjoyable and worthwhile. BTW, our playlist on the bus was amazing!!
Brilliant, well run tour by Dan. Full day, action packed taking in all the sites
suggest travellers bring togs and towel. Lake MacKenzie was a wonderful place for a swim. Just beautiful.
Lol, Im surprised this is even an option. The bus was an hour late due to poor tire conditions resulting in the driver scrambling to find a different bus at 6am which resulted in the tour being cut short. If it wasnt for our amazing tour guide the trip would have been canceled. On the way home we blew a tire, the bus was missing tools, we managed to get the tire changed to find out the spare tire was also leaking leaking air. Limped the bus back to the fairy. Our guide was so good, he kept his cool dispite having a treacherous day, he made for quite an entertaining trip dispite the set backs. The island was beautiful, Discovery tours could use some help in the maintenance department.
Jenai, you flipping legend. Such a fun day, wish we could have stayed for more. Thanks for keeping us company on your day off. P.S. Jellyfish are born through a complex, multi-stage life cycle, starting as fertilized eggs that hatch into larva (planula) and settle onto a hard surface to become polyps. These polyps clone themselves before eventually segmenting and releasing tiny, swimming juvenile jellyfish called ephyra, which grow into adult medusae.
Stunning day trip to paradise. Our guide, Dan F, was fantastic, very knowledgeable and down to earth. Ferry over, 4WD ride to our stop and had swam in Lake McKenzie, had a beautiful, guided walk through a small piece of rainforest, spotted 3 dingos and had a brilliant day. It’s a bouncy ride but so worth it for the scenery and experience. If you appreciate natural beauty, then don’t miss this trip.
