Fraser Experience Small Group Full Day Guided Tour

We were the only ones that day, and our guide Kirk picked us up with a 4WD vehicle at the hotel. Kirk told us a lot in detail about the plants, dingoes, and history of the island. Despite/because of the rain, this tour was unique and wonderful! Would love to do it again!

We decided to go on this tour in advance because the group size is not too large and the reviews were very good. In the end, we were only 8 guests in total, which made it even more exclusive. Our guide Kirk was really great!!!! You can tell he's really totally absorbed in this job. Throughout the day we were provided with a lot of stories about the history of the island, vegetation and wildlife. In addition, Kirk is a very experienced and very good motorist - a must, on the sandy roads on Fraser. We felt very safe at all times. We can absolutely recommend this day trip and keep our fingers crossed that you will also have Kirk as a guide! A great guy!

We had originally booked the tour with the 20-person bus, as we thought that would be fine. We had arranged pickup at our hotel in Hervey Bay. When Kirk picked us up at the agreed time, he informed us that our original tour had been canceled due to a lack of participants and that we had been upgraded. In the end, we were a small group together with three very friendly Swiss guests. Looking back, I can only say: thank goodness! The tour with 20 people would have been far too big and impersonal. We saw several large buses along the way and thought, “No thanks.” Our tour, however, was fantastic. We saw a lot, and everything felt very personal and flexible. For example, we were even able to add an extra one-hour hike along the way. Kirk was excellent—he kept us entertained the whole time and provided us with delicious food. He even brought a tablecloth! We also saw many wild dingoes, which we could observe calmly and at length. The other highlights were just as enjoyable, as we always had enough time to really take everything in. If we were to come back, we would definitely choose a small group tour again—and with Kirk. One word of warning: the sandy tracks on the island are sometimes in very poor condition. We were jolted around quite a bit, even though Kirk drove very carefully. For anyone with back problems, this tour might not be ideal.

Nice tour in a small and nice group. Pete changed the itinerary so we had a great afternoon in sunny lake McKenzie. Nice day and Pete explained and showed us plants, trees, spiders and dingos.

Excellent tour with skilled guide, David. He was knowledgeable, friendly, good driver and kept us timely so that we could see as much as possible. We thoroughly enjoyed our day.

Kirk was full of knowledge and passionate. Great tour guide. Tour covered enough and the extra flight option was a highlight.

Absolutely great to have a guided tour and get insight into the history, geography and politics you wouldn't get if you go on your own

Unfortunately, the early pick-up did not take place until 40 minutes later, as all participants had received the same pick-up times! The trip was a great experience, the guide also tried very hard, only unfortunately Kirk spoke an incomprehensible English for us Europeans!

Smaller tour group with informative tour guide Kirk. Fantastic day out with a very unique Australian experience that is hard to get to otherwise. Highly highly recommend this tour. Safety was a priority with a new 4wd bus. Great fun. Nice lunch provided. Not to be missed !!
