Excellent walking tour with our guide Brian who was so interesting to listen to with a hint of humour... amazing. So many facts rolled into these 2 hours bringing the history of Winchester to life. If you tried to do this yourself I'm sure you would miss stuff. Highly recommend this tour.
Thanks so much for the review. So glad that you enjoyed your Tour of Winchester. It is a fascinating place to visit. Wishing you the best. Cheers. Bryan.
We joined Gail from Walsh Tours for a historical tour of Winchester. The tour was excellent and Gail gave us lots of information throughout the two hours of the tour. It was well worth the money we paid and as “locals” plus a Spanish friend we learnt a lot. If you get the chance I thoroughly recommend this tour if you visit Winchester. Even better was that afterwards we visited Winchester Cathedral and who should be there as a volunteer guide but Gail!
Thank you so much for the wonderful review. Winchester is an amazing place to visit. I am so thrilled Gail brought it to life! Wishing you all the best. Cheers. Bryan.
A fascinating insight into one of England's most famous historical cities. We learned so much and it really opened our eyes. This a beautiful town heaped up with stories to tell. Our guide was so enthusiastic and knowledgeable: the time flew by. We are so glad we completed this tour and would happily recommend it.

If you want to know some of the history of Winchester then there is no better way than booking a Viator walking tour. The tour lasts approximately 2 hours and isn’t hard on your feet. Our tour guide (Bryan) was extremely knowledgeable and talked about the history from ancient to current times. The tour takes you around some of the well known sights but captures a lot of the hidden gems e.g. the oldest bookshop, oldest pub/restaurant, Wickham College. My husband and I were blown away by the beauty and peacefulness that you find off the beaten track and the history captured within the ruined walls of Wolvesey Castle. It’s great value for money I would definitely recommend this tour to everyone.
Thank you so much for the kind and detailed review. Winchester is a fantastic place to visit. And it was a most wonderful pleasure meeting you both. Wishing you the best. Cheers. Bryan.
