Unfortunately our guide did not show up to the designated meeting point. No communication. It was only open calling the number that I was informed that the guide would not be able to make it afterall. Very disappointing! At least a refund was issued quickly, which I appreciate.
We can’t say enough good things about our guide, Paul Levy. We booked a small group tour through TripAdvisor, and it did not disappoint. He went above and beyond to make everyone feel comfortable and included in the conversation. Paul took us along the most scenic routes while sharing insights into Lisbon’s Jewish history, economy, arts, and culture. Hearing these stories from someone born and raised nearby made the experience especially meaningful. Inside the synagogue, another guide led that portion of the visit, while Paul continued the tour through the former Jewish quarters. Every stop we made, he had history ready, pointing to the most interesting cultural and historical aspects, recommending places to eat and shop. At the end of the tour, we were treated to a delicious lunch in a traditional Portuguese restaurant Highly recommend it!
Fabiana was fantastic. She waited for us, called us when we were running late, and was a great guide. She was very knowledgeable and passionate. We were a group of adults and teenages, and everyone really enjoyed the experience and gained an appreciation for that area.
Do not book Viator. They cancelled our tour a nigh before. Could not make at a different time next day. Did not issue a refund. Very unreliable. You get what you payed for.
The guide failed to turn up. No one called to say tour cancelled. Will now have to seek reimbursement. Atleast communicate!!!
Great history of Rome in general and great segue into the Roman Jewish history. The guide was very knowledgeable and a pleasure to talk to.
It was a very informative tour on streets we wouldn’t have otherwise seen. We really enjoyed it seeing and learning about something different
The tour was great. Our guide Luara was very knowledgeable and kind. She answered our questions with a lot of insight. She offered great food recommendations along the tour and maintained a good pace checking to make sure it worked for us all. We were amazing to learn the Jewish ghetto had roots far earlier than the world war. Would definitely recommend this tour.
