This trek was absolutely wonderful - I would do it again in a heartbeat. I’ve never hiked anything like this before, but our guides (Elisban and Hans) were exceptionally skilled at recognizing our group’s pace and making sure we didn’t burn out too quickly. The historical accounts of the trail provided by Elisban were just as memorable as the hiking aspect. The information we learned over four days was fascinating and was a much deeper dive into Incan culture than I had expected. If you take this tour, you should request to travel with Elisban and Hans! Huge thanks to them, the chefs, and the superpowered porters that made this trip run incredibly smoothly.
I loved the tour with alpaca expeditions. Everything was so well planned, the food was incredible (very accommodating for vegetarians) and our guide Juan Carlos was the best! I’d recommend this tour to anyone who wants to trek the Inca trail

I truly enjoyed my experience on the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. Our guide Valentin was knowledgable, funny, interactive and always made sure we were having a good time. The food on the trail was also unbelievable! Each meal our chef Wilber made 5 delicious dishes for us to eat, far exceeding my expectations for food in the trail. I would highly recommend this experience!

Had a really amazing experience hiking the Inca Trail with alpaca expeditions! Our guides Juan Carlos and Walter were fantastic. We got so much information from them along the hike and they made us feel very looked after. The food provided was delicious and great nutrition for hiking. Overall would highly recommend this company for anyone wanting to complete the Inca trail.
The whole experience was amazing from start to finish. I was especially impressed with our guide Juan Carlos, who went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, and that everyone was having a great experience. He was approachable, helpful, knowledgeable and humorous. The tour would not have been the same without him. Another special mention to the assistant guide Walter, who did an amazing job too, as well as our porters and chef. I would recommend this trek and pur wonderful guides in a heartbeat.
Had an amazing experience hiking the Inca trail with Alpaca expeditions. Juan Carlos and Walter were both amazing tour guides, very knowledgeable and kept the pace manageable with lots of stops on the way. The chef Carmelo was also amazing. We were very well fed and didn’t go hungry at all. Cannot recommend this tour enough, I don’t think there is a better way to see Machu Picchu!
