Inca Jungle Trail 4D/3N to Machu Picchu with Train Return

Outstanding! Marco, our tour guide, was the absolute best! His knowledge of Inca culture & history is unmatched. Mostly, he was incredibly helpful & kind. I am 63 and did this tour with my daughter & her boyfriend who are both 30. Many of the adventures were hard for me and out of my comfort zone, but Marco was always there to literally hold my hand and/or my backpack. I cannot recommend him enough. Also, Jose Louis was very helpful & flexible with our plans & getting tickets to Machu Picchu at the last minute. It was a great adventure and I really appreciated both of them. Also, the food at every stop was delicious. My favorite experiences, along with visiting Machu Picchu, were the Whitewater rafting and relaxing in the Cocalmayo Hot Springs after a challenging day of hiking. The one thing I didn’t love was the hostile we stayed at on the second night because they did not provide towels, soap or toilet paper for the room. Other than that, it was a fabulous trip!

I would highly recommend both this tour (Inca Jungle Trek 4 day, 3 night) and Encuentros Peru Adventure. Our tour guide Marco was phenomenal, he was so kind, knowledgeable, and helpful while on our trek. Jose was so also so kind and helpful at every step of the way. He saved our trip by staying up late (like 2 or 3am) to get us Machu Picchu tickets, a true lifesaver. With the recent ticket system changes at Machu Picchu and going with family, we had lots of questions. Jose was very patient and helped us through everything and was very transparent. Each activity and experience was fun. We began our tour on 5/16/26 with 3 of us and I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Everything was so seamless. I did this trip with my dad. Me (29yrs), Dad (58yrs). Great experience for both age groups. Due to time constraints with our itinerary we did a condensed 3 day / 2 night version. It was so cool! Got picked up on time the morning of, had the most scenic drive ever to the top of a mountain to start the bike ride. The ride was so much fun and safety gear was really good. After that took a bus to a nice healthy lunch and rafting. That was super cool!! the rafting was so fun, the team that runs that activity defi love the water, super unique. The accommodation was basic, but clean and good wifi and hot water. All meals included were delicious, healthy and local so no hassle ever. Didn't feel rushed at all. The guides were great. We had Waskar, Gonzalez and Yoselin, all of them were great, on time, helpful, took photos for us. We got the train back from Aguas Calientes and no dramas at all. Jose from the sales team was easy to contact on whatsapp always. Had loads of fun!

I’d definitely recommend this tour - it was suggested to me by a friend, and I’m so glad I went for it. It has the perfect balance between adventure and comfort, with a great mix of activities like biking, rafting, coffee making, and zip lining, alongside some really rewarding hiking. It’s an ideal option if you don’t want to commit to trekking for four full days but still want a rich, varied experience. Everything was incredibly well organised from start to finish, and a real highlight of the trip was securing Circuit 2A Machu Picchu tickets - easily the best route, with the most iconic views and a truly unforgettable experience. Do note though that we went during low season so please be mindful of this when trying to secure tickets. What really made the tour exceptional, though, was our guide, Fernando. He was outstanding in every sense - deeply knowledgeable, passionate, and genuinely invested in making the experience special for everyone. His insights into Inka traditions added so much depth and meaning to the trip, turning moments into lasting memories. At the same time, he brought so much energy and humour to the group, always ready with a joke and making sure everyone was having a great time. He really made the whole trip special. 10/10 recommend

Our Jungle Trek to Machu Picchu was an unforgettable experience, made exceptional by how well everything was organized. His English was excellent, making communication effortless, and his knowledge of the region, history, and local culture was impressive. He was always attentive, helpful, and ensured that everyone in the group felt safe and confident throughout the trek. The meals along the way were another highlight. The food at the restaurants was consistently fresh, delicious, and satisfying—exactly what you need after a day of adventure. Overall, this was an incredible experience that I would highly recommend to anyone considering the Jungle Trek to Machu Picchu. Fernando and the team made it seamless, fun, and truly memorable.

Like the title says, Jose was truly the best guide we could have ever asked for. We looked for a trip for quite some time, ended up finding Jose and decided to give him a call. He described to us our trip and what we would do and helped set everything up from the get go. He assured us that everything we needed would be taken care of and he truly stuck to it. He was extremely accommodating, friendly, knowledgeable, and knew the ins and outs of his country. He provided us with the best experience we could’ve possibly asked for and went above and beyond to make sure we had the most incredible time. From staying in local houses, to eating local meals, to having rides ready for us, this was the best possible experience. If you are even close to being on the fence, do yourself a favor and book with Jose. Trust me, you will not regret it.

Extremely pleased with my experience with Jose and Encuentros Peru adventure. They book everything you need for you so you don’t have to put in any effort and deal with booking excursions yourself which was amazing because they know the best activities, schedule, and places to have an amazing adventure. They are very flexible and communicative throughout the trip and always at your service. Went with friends for spring break and had the time of our lives.

Amazing. Our tour guide Jose made everything enjoyable and easy. Jose was reliable and friendly. Each activity we did throughout the trek was some of the most amazing things I have ever experienced. I highly recommend booking this if you are visiting Peru and wanting to visit macchu picchu. It ends perfectly.
