Hurghada Speedboat Dolphin Watching and Snorkeling

Description
Cool off from the heat of the city and escape to the sea on a cruise from Hurghada. Climb aboard a speedboat and marvel at the attractions from the water. First begin the search for dolphins, which takes approximately 45-90 mins. Once found you will be able to watch them from close range, and if possible, swim beside them. Environmental rules and regulations and safety factors apply, and it is best to be near dolphins without disturbing their nature. After seeing these fascinating creatures up close the speedboat will stop for snorkeling at two different spots. Enjoy the unique colorful corals of the Red Sea and be amazed by its beautiful scenery. The final destination will be one of the beautiful islands for the remainder of the time, where you can swim, sunbathe and relax, surrounded with peace and nature.

We had an amazing snorkeling day and cannot recommend this trip highly enough! Bashir and our captain went above and beyond to make sure we were happy, comfortable, and safe throughout the entire experience. They took such great care of us and made the day truly unforgettable. The snorkeling was incredible. The coral reefs were beautiful, the fish were stunning, and the opportunity to swim with dolphins was an absolute dream come true. We also really appreciated the delicious fruit platter and refreshing beverages provided during the day. Every detail was thoughtfully taken care of. A huge thank you to Bashir and our captain for their professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail. If you are considering booking this excursion, do it! We hope you are lucky enough to have Bashir and our captain looking after you too. We would love to come back again someday! Jemma and Jamie
The minimum rating allowed is 1 star. If half a star were an option, that’s what this tour would receive. The day started badly and only got worse. We were kept waiting for 30 minutes in the blistering sun before departure, then once on the boat, we waited yet another 30 minutes with no shade, no air conditioning and temperatures around 35°C. The only reason this review isn’t even harsher is because we eventually found dolphins and were able to swim with them. That was genuinely the highlight of the day and briefly redeemed the experience. Unfortunately, everything after that went downhill fast. We spent hours in the sun with no food, drinks, or water proactively offered. At the final stop, which was advertised as a snorkelling location but wasn’t really suitable for snorkelling, we were left floating around while the crew spent 20–25 minutes preparing a platter of stale, flavourless fruit. Most people were too hot, tired, and frustrated to even eat it. When everyone agreed they were ready to return, the captain instead made additional unnecessary stops, including one to show a shipwreck and another to chat with relatives on nearby boats while taking photos and videos. By that point, everyone just wanted the tour to end. To top it all off, when we finally returned to the marina, our transport wasn’t waiting for us. We were forced to walk another 10 minutes in the heat to find the vehicle. Overall, this was easily the worst boat excursion we’ve ever been on. Poor organisation, excessive waiting, lack of basic hospitality, and complete disregard for guests’ comfort. The dolphins were fantastic, but they weren’t enough to save what was otherwise a very disappointing experience.
As always, the activities are incredibly enjoyable. As always, a friendly team with a great atmosphere throughout the trip and the activity. I highly recommend GO Shalabi. As someone traveling alone, I find the activities always very welcoming. A fantastic day! They took the time to search for dolphins, even though it's not always easy because they're in their natural habitat. A magnificent day from beginning to end. Thank you to the whole team. The boat is well-maintained, the staff ensures everything runs smoothly, and the meal on board is well-served🙏🏼🤍❤️
Do not book! Taxi did not show up and when we contacted the Go Shalbi, we got told the trip had been cancelled. Very poor communication as they hadn’t contacted us or Viator to let us know it had been cancelled. Very disappointing
My partner booked this trip for me as a birthday gift, we had a private speedboat with dolphin watching, 2 snorkelling stops and a stop on Bali Beach (I think that was the name of it). The speedboat was super fun to start off with, we absolutely loved the wind and the bouncing on the waves. Our captain and guide were very very accommodating to us. We started off by trying to spot some dolphins, and we managed to see quite a few!! The captain got us up close enough to see very clearly but wasn’t chasing the dolphins or frightening them like some of the other boats were. The guide checked we were happy to move on before we left and made sure we felt we had seen enough. We went to the first snorkel spot and the guide helped us sort the equipment out. The water was completely clear, we snorkelled for more than half an hour and saw the most beautiful reefs with loads and loads of fish. The guide was filming loads on his go pro and making sure we were okay. He was taking loads of videos of us as we were snorkelling too. Then we got out, went to the next spot and we had cold bottled water as we were on the way. Again, we saw loads more fish and reef and the water was just beautiful. After that, we went to the little beach island which was beyond gorgeous. The guide had a professional camera and offered to do a little photoshoot with us. He walked up and down the beach with us and we had a little chat. When we got back on the boat, we had loads of really fresh fruit to snack on. Then, back in the marina, they allowed us to snorkel and see a shipwreck! We paid around £80 GBP for all the photos and videos (there were hundreds), you could probably haggle them down but we personally thought that was a fair price and paid part cash and part card. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend this company to anyone thinking about a boat trip.
Went on a trip to snorkel and see dolphins We enjoyed the whole day from pick up being on time, snorkelling seeing lot of fish and coral, island stop and seeing dolphins it was all amazing Thanks again to Tito and Usan Would recommend over and over
We went on the tour today, looked after very well by Ahmed and his crew member who both proved to be a very capable and knowledgeable. They looked after the twelve of us, really well as we saw the dolphins, enjoyed the snorkelling and it made for a very enjoyable morning.
Very disappointed with this experience that we could not do ... Our daughter made the reservations, on the voucher no details, no more when recalling the pick-up time. A shuttle picks us up at the notified time. Arriving at the boat , we are asked for 20 euros ... which we did not have since we leave for the morning by boat and snorkeling and everything has been paid. No one speaks French, so communication is difficult. We offer to pay half and the rest upon return to the hotel. One person is OK, not the others. It lasts 15 minutes. Very annoyed by the turn of events we die to leave , knowing that we do not know the place and have only a few Egyptian books on us. We are lucky enough to find a taxi that picks us up, takes us to the hotel or we settle it on arrival. We missed an activity that we expected , the organizer made no effort to understand the situation because if you needed 20 euros more why not pay for the pickup from the hotel? And obviously, we have not been reimbursed the 70 euros committed
This trip was the best day of our holiday! Captain achmed and snorkling instructor achmed were really really nice! For us and for our kids. Really chill and laidback. Best day ever!!!! Would really recommend. The pick up was perfect on time and everything went very smooth.
We had a wonderful private boat trip with our family, and everything was absolutely perfect from start to finish. Captain Abdo and our guide Sarpi were incredibly kind and attentive, especially with our 4-year-old daughter, which made the experience even more special for us. A big thank you also to Ivana, who handled our booking via WhatsApp. She went above and beyond to help return my daughter’s goggles after the trip—such a thoughtful gesture that really touched us. The whole process was smooth and well-organized, from the punctual pick-up to the clear explanations throughout the journey. While we didn’t get to see dolphins or turtles this time, the crew truly did their best to find them and made the effort count. No hidden fees, no surprises—everything was transparent and honest. We had a lovely morning, and I’m truly grateful for the memories we made. Highly recommend!
