Description
We will begin early in the morning with the pickup at your hotel in Cusco. The vehicle will take us by Izcuchaca and Limatambo towns to enter to the Salkantay Route and get to the point where we will begin the trek. We will walk 1 km (0.6 miles) until arriving to the Soraypampa campsite, at 12,795 feet of altitude, where we will have breakfast. After that, we will begin the ascending trek for 1 and a half hours until reaching the Humantay Lagoon, located at 13,451 feet of altitude. Here we will be able to see the color variation, depending on the perspective that gives us the point where we will be located, besides the glacier as background that goes to the lagoon, if the weather allows it. After taking pictures and resting from walking at that altitude, we will go back to the campsite, where we will have lunch. Then, we will walk to our vehicle to return to downtown Cusco, where our tour ends.

I took the tour to Humantay Lake with Machupicchu Nice, and it was a wonderful experience. From the very beginning everything was well organized: the pick-up was punctual, the transportation was comfortable, and the guide was very kind and professional, always attentive to our needs, The hike up to the lake was challenging, but it was absolutely worth it. Once at the top, I was amazed by the beauty of the place—the turquoise color of the water and the snow-capped mountains surrounding the lake.
