Your private tour to visit the best Hue tombs has to start with the drive to Ming Mang Tomb. Located 20 kilometers away from Hue Center, the Tomb of Minh Mang is known for its red and yellow lacquer features in its temples. Its monuments are symmetrically arranged on an axis with lush pine forests in the surroundings. You'll learn about Minh Mang's character and his contribution to the country during his reign from 1820-1840.

The Tomb of Fusion Art is what we can describe as Khai Dinh Tomb. This Hue Mausoleum is a special one that was built while Vietnam was colonized by the French. Imagine you are walking between walls decorated in Mosaic style made from expensive ceramics in Thien Dinh Palace. We cannot wait for you to have these awed moments in Khai Dinh's royal tomb!

Admission not included60 min

In the latter half of your private Hue Royal Tomb Tour, we will take you to visit the Tu Duc tomb. Located in a narrow valley 8 km from Hue in Duong Xuan Thuong village, Tu Duc’s tomb is one of the most beautiful royal complexes and is embedded in a lush pine forest. Your local guide will tell you the story of Emperor Tu Duc and his role in the occupation of the French in Indochina in 1857. You will also have a chance to visit the Incense village and make this craft work.

top tour, best guide

Our guide, Ms Ha, was extremely nice. She explained us the most important things, answered to all our curiosities being friendly, she helped us with the photos and gave suggestions. We loved her! Plus, the tour is very well organized with a private driver. Very good experience

Brilliant half day tour!

Greeted by our driver at our hotel, Qúy, who was the most welcoming and happy guide to have. He was brilliant, spoke very good English and was able to provide us history and background travelling for each of the places. En route, there is an optional choice to stop off at a cafe that specialises in Salted Coffee, this is a must try. Afterwards, a short drive (about 10km) to the first tomb, which your tour is flexible to your own needs / wants. The entry fees are not included but you can buy a bundle package that covers off all of the tombs and Citadel. I recommend spending about 1 hour in each and purchasing the audio guide to give you the best experience whilst in there. I also recommend going as early as possible, in April, it gets hot around 1pm so we were able to head early around 8.30am. Between the tombs, we stopped at a local shop which we got to make our own incense and there were loads of wee bits too but also, all handcrafted. Water and umbrella (if required) is provided on board. Definitely the best way to experience the tombs of Hue. Would recommend to anyone.

Unique, of the beaten path trip through Vietnamese imperial history

Amazing visit! Sam was a cheerful, informative, knowledgeable guide, with a great sense of humor! The trip is great in that it takes you off the beaten path to one of the less visited tombs, which while not as well maintained as the more commonly visited (read: crowded) one, is more contemplative and thought provoking. And the Hue special coffee (don't let the salt throw you) was absolutely delicious and unique. Definitely worth the time

Excellent tours

We took two tours: the Imperial City and the Emperor Tomb Tours. Both were excellent. Both guides were extremely friendly, and knowledgeable. As a Vietnamese myself, I learned more of the history during Nguyen dynasty during their tours than 12 years of high school. When I suggested booking the Tomb Tour, my friend was a bit reluctant. However, the guide, Hoa, proved that a visit to emperor tombs could be an excellent occasion to learn about the country's history, and architecture as well as getting to know the emperors more intimately at places far far way from the city and surrounded by nature. Highly recommended for those who are planning a trip to Hue!

Must do tour

We took two tours with Bee Bee Travel - the Nguyen Emperor Tomb Tour and Hue Imperial City Tour. Both were fascinating, but for us the stand-out was the Nguyen Tombs - we didn't have many expectations for the tour, but were blown away by the grandeur of the tombs, which were stunning in their architecture and intricate design. We visited 3 tombs by private car in the morning, then were dropped off at the Imperial City for the afternoon. Our guide was with us throughout the day, and was a wealth of knowledge on the history of the tombs, Nguyen emperors, and Hue in general. She had a very good standard of English, and always made sure we were enjoying the tour and were comfortable on what felt like one of the hottest days of the year.
