Christophe was super knowledgeable and a fun person to spend the afternoon with. He knew a lot of the architects and sites and seemed always eager to learn more.
Christophe was extremely personable and knowledgeable about the area and the individual homes and architects. Walking tour covered a lot of ground to show incredible hidden gems and notable examples of art nouveau.
Please be aware that this tour includes a walking tour of 10,000 steps. You walk by about 15 individual Art Nouveau residences and buildings in different stages of restoration. The Horta House is also under restoration and there are workers on ladders, etc. it is still a remarkable place and the guide Christophe is knowledgeable and interesting. I highly recommend but know if you can do the hike.
Thomas is a very pleasant guide. We really enjoyed chatting with him while walking through the city. His knowledge of Brussels and its history was fantastic, especially when explaining the stories behind the beautiful architecture we saw along the way. He showed us places we never would have found on our own and helped us appreciate a side of the city we would have missed. Thank you, Thomas!
A MUST for any fan of Art Nouveau style. Morgan was enthusiastic, very knowledgeable and charming.
Christophe was such a wealth of knowledge about Art Nouveau and was so engaging in his presentation. Fabulous tour.
Christoph, our tour guide was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about all things Art Nouveau. He walked us through Ixelles and Gilles and provided us with a historical account of the movement in Brussels ending up at Maison Horta, a beautiful example of the best that Art Nouveau had to offer in terms of design and architecture. He was also sensitive to our needs as an elderly couple and flexible in arranging the timing of the itinerary.
Our group of six wanted a guided walk focused on historic Brussels, and Lucas exceeded everything we hoped for. He was extremely knowledgeable, and we learned a great deal while exploring the city’s Art Nouveau side. As we stood outside one of the Horta-designed buildings, he took extra time to explain small architectural details we would’ve completely missed. The pace felt just right, the stories were fascinating, and the whole experience flowed naturally. We would absolutely book another tour with Lucas.
Camila was a wonderful addition to our time in Brussels. We would absolutely recommend her if you want to explore the city with someone who truly appreciates it, understands local architecture, history, and social life. Her explanations made the Art Nouveau focus especially engaging and added great context to the experience.
