First time horseback riding with the family. The guides were very friendly and willing to take pictures of us on the horses. They take care of the horses and keep them on the trail. It seemed like they matched the horses' personality to ours, but that couldn't be possible, could it? My 17 year old and 12 year old loved their first horseback riding experience and I would highly recommend if you are in this area of Costa Rica.
Very impressed with knowledgeable staff, very healthy nice horses and happy people everywhere!
It was a very a fun ride, the horses are very well taken care of and we got to ride the horses on the beach as part of the experience
We are so glad you enjoyed the horseback riding tour with us. Thank you for your review.
Super fun ride to the beach while my husband and sons went zip lining
We are so glad you had a great time on the horseback trip.
We spent part of two days here one viewing the animals and one doing a horseback riding tour Only negative was being able to purchase any horseback riding photos the photographer was backed up and way too busy to help us...
We had a blast going horseback riding. Nice easy trails and the guides were very informative. I will try one of their other tours. The reception desk has very friendly people as well.
Good experience Horseback riding at Diamante Ec o Adventure Park. A shuttle bus that runs every 30 mins was available to take me to the park. Once th ere I could see the horses and the workers. I was g reeted and the instruction was explained. It was lis ted as good for beginners. I rode Bert and he was not cooperating at first, kept turning back to the st able. Arnol was able to take the reins and lead him to the trail then it was smooth after that. Since I w as the only person for my time slot, we were able t o enjoy the trail, the zip liners above and the catcu s, it was fantastic. Love going by the beach where I was able to get photo opportunity. Rode through t he woods not much to see. It was a bit rough on t he trails but with the instruction of leaning backwa rd and forward helped. Recommend an early ride, much cooler.

This is our first time visit Costa Rica - what a beautiful country and beautiful, friendly, polite people! We are still here in Costa Rica in October ... the rainy season! No joke - and we are from Vancouver where it rains a lot! We were looking for a tour to do, and decided on Diamante - even though it was risky with the rain. We are so glad we went - the rain held off long enough for us to go horseback riding. I guess the rain had discouraged others from taking a ride because it was just my husband and I while everybody else decided to go zip-lining. We made the right choice with a leisurely trail ride - at one point ending up on the beach for photos. Lots of birds and different scenery, and the howler monkeys in the background letting us know they were around. After a lovely ride, we visited the butterfly sanctuary, jaguars, sloths, toucans, monkeys as well as others. We learned so much in that all the animals are rescues and not fit to return back to the wild. We then visited all the botanical gardens - so gorgeous - and ended up at a little "coffee" house where we had the pleasure learning from Aris - a lovely young man who has been with Diamante for ten years. Again - we were the only two people, so we had basically a private tour. He taught us how sugar cane is harvested, squeezed, dried, and ultimately made into brown sugar (I'll never buy white sugar again!). We also learned about coffee - how it's grown, dried, ground and we had the best sample of arguably the best coffee (and sugar) we have ever tasted. But then it kicked up a knotch - we learned all about the cacao bean and how that is harvested, dried, ground, and then combined with a little milk and sugar to make chocolate ...yummy! We had an amazing experience with Diamante ... I will certainly be telling anybody who is thinking about visiting Costa Rica to visit Diamante as well. At the end of the day we both felt enriched, happy, fulfilled - it was a wonderful day that we will always remember with happy thoughts!
Amazing experience through the quiet jungle on well-behaved horses. We were riding for a solid hour plus and the guides were great! Skip the ATV's and enjoy quiet nature...
