Very interesting. I would recommend not only travelers but to the locals & experience this. Like I thought I knew a lot about the marchers but within a short amount of time I have gain so much more facts about the night marchers &then some.
Excellent ghost tour. We had one day in Honolulu and this was a perfect way to learn about the culture and history. Our host was very knowledgeable and engaging. Great night. Off to Amazon to buy his book.
My family and I came to Waikiki for spring break immediately following the Kona low storm. As a result we were the only family who attended yesterday’s tour and Lopaka was gracious enough to host us on a private tour of the Waikiki night marchers. It was an amazing and intimate experience with stories filled with rich historical context that educated us on the history of the city and the night marchers. We look forward to attending another of his ghost tours our next visit.

Historic yet horrifying how little regarded for human life the religious zealots and royalty had. Walking through the banyan trees at night was creepy. Listen to the narrator closely because of a lot of detail. Visits the Korean and Vietnam war memorial. Walk is concentrated around the royal palace area.
Lopaka is a marvelous tour guide, historian, teacher, spiritual guide and an authentic Hawaiian gentleman. Spine-tingling stories you will never forget. This is one of the most meaningful tours I've ever had the pleasure to experience. I will always think of Lopaka as a treasured friend. And, you, my friend, talk good story.
Mr. Lopaka gave a great tour. The combination of true history with paranormal encounters is definitely captivating, and makes for an excellent outing. Those who like the paranormal thrills as well as those seeking to understand more about history and hawaiian legend won't be displeased. All and all, a thrilling and informative experience. The Honolulu Night Marchers Ghost Tour was an unforgettable experience. I truly felt privileged to be part of it. Lopaka was incredibly knowledgeable, warm, and easy to talk to, and it was especially meaningful to hear stories passed down from his mother and family. Learning directly from locals added so much depth and respect to the experience. The images and stories shared during the tour were absolutely chilling. I even took a few photos during the walk that I know were clear when I took them — but when I looked at them later, they were mysteriously blurry. I’ll try to attach them because it honestly gave me chills. This tour is more than just a ghost tour — it’s history, culture, and storytelling woven together with wisdom and respect. Lopaka shares his knowledge in a way that feels genuine and thoughtful, and you walk away with a deeper appreciation for Hawaiian history and traditions. This is definitely a must-do if you’re visiting Oʻahu. Highly recommended. I also loved the little orange cat :)
