Itinerary
We will kick off our day trip with a visit to My Son, the capital and religious center of the former Champa Kingdom, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Nestled in a lush green valley, My Son features dozens of red brick towers and sanctuaries dating from the 7th to the 13th century.
After exploring My Son, we will enjoy lunch at a local restaurant in Hoi An before diving into the city’s rich history on foot. Once a thriving seaport from the 16th to 18th centuries, Hoi An is now a must-visit destination in Southeast Asia.
As we stroll through the historic town, we will make several stops to visit key sites, including the Hoi An Museum, renowned Ancient Houses showcasing remarkable architecture, and the Assembly Halls influenced by Chinese culture. We will also visit an Art Craft Manufacturing Workshop and the iconic Japanese Covered Bridge. These landmarks represent typical architectural styles in Hoi An and reflect the cultural fusion of France, Japan, China, and Vietnam. Despite the passage of centuries and the challenges of the elements, Hoi An remains a picturesque gem, preserving its ancient charm and tranquil beauty.

We had this tour booked and on the morning of the tour we were waiting outside to be collected for 15mins. I messaged them via the Viator app to see where they were and got a message that there was a system error and that they had not gotten our booking. We were very disappointed. Lesson learn, over communicate with the tour groups prior to the day! The company did go out of its way to try and make other arrangements for us for the day and offered others tours we could do instead but none of the options were suitable. We ended up bringing a different tour forward a day so the day wasn’t wasted. Lovely people, just make sure you communicate with them first.
Everything was perfect during the tour to Hoi An: enough time to visit the atractions, lunch, selected places to visit. Special thanks to Amelie: excellent professional, lovely person!

Very well informed tour, our guide Viet knew her history. Had a great, tasty lunch and a walk around Hoi An old quarter. Great day.
We were lucky to have an excellent guide for the day, called Emily. Her english was completely fluent, so communication and chatting was very easy all day. She arrived promptly at our hotel, and we drove to My Son Sanctuary, which took about an hour. The drive was very nice, through the local villages and the Sanctuary should definitely be visited. We got there just after 8.30am, which is an ideal time as it is a very popular spot, so we managed to miss the crowds. We were then driven to our lunch venue, which was also excellent. The food was delicious and very generous. After that we returned to Hoi An City for our walking tour of the old town. Again Emily was a great guide. She took us to all of the main sites, and there was no feeling of being rushed. She always offered to take photos as well. We would definitely reccomend this tour.
Tour guide was amazing and gave a lot of detailed information at each stop. The history of My Son and the city of Hoi An came alive.
A trip to My Son Sanctuary allows you to take a trip back in time to the 10th century when the kings of the Cham people built their temples and towers. Despite the remnants that remain standing your imagination along with the information from your amazingly knowledgeable guide allows you to see just how they used these buildings. The lunch provided was excellent with local dishes to suit. Topped off with a tour through a local markets and the historical features of the old town of Hoi An. A definite bonus was the scenery on the way to my Son Sanctury.. local rice and corn farms as far as the eye can see.
Pick up and drop off to Da Nang hotel was very easy. Han, our guide was excellent! Very good English and gave lots of insights into both tour locations. Unfortunately, the weather was terrible but Han made sure we had a great time regardless!
Mr Mot (Tom) was a great and funny guide that kept the tour engaging and lovely even under humid weather. His stories are great and his local recommendations have always been solid.
Great Tour. Driver drove well and was polite and courteous. Snow our guide was fun knowledgeable and spoke good english. Whilst we had already been to the old city, Snow's in-depth local knowledge opened our eyes further.
I really enjoyed this tour. Our tour guide took us through the history of My Son and the Cham people in Vietnam, and really enhanced our tour of the ruins. It was a lovely place and a contrast to some of the pagodas etc in other cities in Vietnam. The tour of Hoi An's Ancient Town was great, and we got a good history of a few of the main sites.
