Born and raised in Gothenburg, for 2 hours I will show you the oldest city parts and buildings and their fascinating history as well as the best viewpoints on the city heights. I will point out the best restaurants, bars and shopping streets and other hidden gems during the tour around the old city center. In total we will stop by 17 sightings. During the tour I will be glad to answer questions of what to do and see whilst visiting as I was born in Gothenburg and lived there all my life. At the end of the tour, I will show you my list of recommended restaurants and bars around town.

We will visit Gothenburgs second oldest building that used to be an armory.
A very hipp street with lots of restaurangs, bars, stores and cafés.
One of the city hills where you get a good viewpoint and also get to see the old fortifications.
An indoor fishmarket and top points of interests due to its specific looks.
We will visit the big market place where you can buy meat, cheese, vegetables and a lot more.
We will pass by the Horticultural Gardens/the Garden society which I will point out.
We will pass by one of the citys famous cathedrals which is also open to visitors.
We will pass by an electric boat company where you be eligible for a discount.
Here we will get a nice viewpoint of the city with some interesting points of interest

We enjoyed our tour with Marcus. Our first time to Gothenburg so Marcus was able to give us some history and also point out some restaurants and we also got to visit the Markets. We enjoyed the tour and it was well worth our time.

My wife and I have done a few walking tours on recent trips away and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. This was no different and we were fortunate to choose a day when we happened to be the sole customers. Marcus was a great, knowledgable guide. He set the perfect pace and we had a fun, fact-filled walk around the historic centre of Gothenburg. The beauty of these tours is you see parts of the city you might normally miss and get some perfect tips for drinking and eating haunts for the remainder of your city break. I am definitely going to take up his shrimp sandwich recommendation amongst many others!

Great guide - wide range of knowledge from history, architecture, culture to “everyday and night life”. Open to questions and dialogue and just a really nice guy who adjusted the pace to the groups ability and energy. Glad we took the time to learn more about Gothenburg, been here several times before but from now on it will be more enjoyable.
An excellent walking tour of Gothenburg, Marcus presented a great overview of the history and settlement particularly referencing the city walls and fortifications. As we walked through the city he highlighted points of interest, restaurants and bars. Would recommend this walking tour as Marcus was informative and enthusiastic about his city
