A really delightful way to spend our last morning on Oahu. Jacqueline greeted us do warmly and was dressed to reflect the 1940’s WWII era. She had a wealth of knowledge about the Hotel Street and Chinatown areas and the brothels that were in the area.
Thank you for choosing to spend your time with us. We are very enthusiastic about the colorful history of our neighborhood and truly enjoy sharing it with others.
This was the best tour we could possibly done very informative of how Chinatown was ran. Jackie was excellent. She was able to share several different stories about the area. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting to know the history of Honolulu and the way things were done in those times. Jackie thanks so much you wonderful!

Absolutely fascinating and awesome tour! The underside of life in Honolulu during WWII comes to life as Jackie and Jim took us back through history. Entertaining and educational. I highly recommend!
Alice - it was a pleasure to meet you and share the history of 1930's-1944 Chinatown.
Absolutely awesome and highly recommend! I did this tour twice before under the prior operator and it is equally as awesome, if not better! Jim and Jackie were delightful guides. Plan on taking future guests! Definitely a "do not miss" for those interested in the underside of history!!!!!
Thank you for spending your afternoon with us! Such a great time sharing the sordid history of Chinatown with you!
I'd say the tour was awful but no one even showed up to give said tour! I and my friend waited at the meeting location for 30 minutes after the supposed tour was supposed to start and not one person showed up nor did we even receive a call to tell us it was cancelled. We still haven't heard anything from this company. I tried to contact the company but no number was listed in my confirmation email. Do not recommend!
Aloha - We apologize for your experience. Not an excuse but we were having issues with Viator confirmations at the time of your booking. You should have received a full refund. We apologize and we now have figured out the cumbersome web behind online bookings. Please visit Chinatown again. Katt's Closet
What an informative and enjoyable tour! We were here for a wedding but wanted to learn more about Honolulu. The tour guide is excellent and very knowledgeable of the area. The tour ended with a rum shot in one of the local bars which was a nice ending! We had a great time!
Thanks for visiting Chinatown and sharing your afternoon with us. Katt's Closet
We had a great time on the historic, red light, China town tour! Fun informative and great guides! Jim and Jackie were awesome, fun guides. It is so cool to get to know what was really going on in that time period instead of some watered down version (that is probably not even accurate) It makes you appreciate what earlier generations went through both male and female. One thing that is consistent, the folks with the coin always make the rules and control the game. The true history always validates that Thanks Jackie and Jim, appreciate you guys!! Be blessed
Thank you for choosing our tour. We really appreciate all of your questions and feedback. We look forward to your next visit!
Jackie and Jim were great guides! We had a blast, it was so informative and fun. It’s so cool to learn about the way things “really were” through those hard times and what folks went through during and after WWII China town has quite a history and the “industry” was very eye opening. It’s great to “know the rest of the story” Thanks again Jackie and Jim!
Thank you for travelling all the way from Texas to spend a bit of your afternoon with us and celebrating Honolulu's colorful past. We can't wait to see you on your next trip to the island.
