Ōsu Shopping Arcade is Nagoya’s most famous covered shopping area: a lively maze of pedestrian arcades near Ōsu Kannon, packed with over 1,200 shops and eateries ranging from street-food snacks and cafés to vintage/secondhand clothing, electronics, anime/subculture goods, and quirky one-off local stores. As we move from food stand to food stand guests will be immersed in the charm of this famous area.

Nagonoyama Tumulus is a small kofun (ancient burial mound) tucked into the Ōsu neighborhood, so close to the city bustle that it feels almost surprising when you spot it. It’s a rare chance to see very old archaeology embedded in everyday modern Nagoya.

Banshōji Temple is a fun little “history hit” right in the middle of Nagoya’s Ōsu shopping area. One minute you’re browsing snacks and vintage shops, and the next you’re stepping into a temple with real Sengoku-era connections.

Loved it! We had a great time

I was so impressed with both Erica and with this tour! She is so knowledgeable about the area and her passion for what she's doing really shows. The food was also incredible, y husband and I loved everything we ate on the tour and so did our toddler! I would recommend this tour to anyone who loves history, trying new foods, and doing touristy things that are off the beaten path. Five stars!

Experienced and knowledgeable

Erica was a very knowledgeable, friendly, thoughtful tour guide. She went above and boyind to make our tour enjoyable. She selected the best food from the street vendors for us to try. Because she is a local, she knew the right things to give us and places to take us. I enjoyed her tour so much she took me on a solo tour into another region that she curated just for me. Cannot recommend her highly enough. Thank you so much Erica.

Don't skip Osu when you come to Nagoya!

My friend and I recently took this tour. I love history and food, so this was right up my alley. The tour was well-paced and delicious, with a variety of savory and sweet dishes. You should go hungry. Our guide, Erica, was knowledgeable and funny. She was amazing. I loved the stories behind the shops we visited. I highly recommend this tour for your group on your next trip to Nagoya.
