Itinerary
Prepare to be captivated by the rugged beauty of the Scottish Highlands. Our journey will take us through a spectacular landscape of towering mountains, serene lochs, and green valleys until we reach the mysterious Rannoch Moor. Once there, we will venture into one of Scotland’s most iconic locations: Glencoe. This valley, wrapped in a magical atmosphere, hides a turbulent history of clans and conflict. You will have the opportunity to capture the majesty of the “Three Sisters,” three mountain peaks that rise imposingly over the glen. Film buffs can also try to spot famous movie locations. Glencoe has served as the backdrop for memorable scenes in "Harry Potter" and "James Bond," among many other productions.
We will take a short break here to enjoy this incredible landscape.
Before reaching Loch Ness, we will stop at the Commando Memorial. This monument pays tribute to the courage and dedication of the elite troops who trained in the Highlands during World War II. And, if the weather is on our side, we will enjoy a privileged view of Ben Nevis, the giant of the British mountains, from there. *This stop will be made provided the tour is running on schedule. In the event of any delays, this stop will not take place.
Our next stop will be Fort Augustus, where the ingenious lock system of the Caledonian Canal connects the waters. You will have free time to explore this historic location and, if you wish, embark on an unforgettable cruise across Loch Ness. Important: The 1-hour cruise on Loch Ness has an additional cost. Special prices for ViajarporEscocia.com clients (GBP only): Adults: £21.00 Seniors (over 60): £19.00 Children (4 to 15 years old): £14.00 Children under 4: Free Family discounts do not apply.
In Inverness, you can wander through the historic Old Town, with its cobbled streets and buildings steeped in history. Don’t miss the impressive Inverness Cathedral, with its Gothic architecture rising on the banks of the River Ness. And of course, enjoy a relaxing riverside stroll, where you can admire the colourful houses and lush greenery. Inverness will captivate you with its unique atmosphere and rich cultural heritage.
Finally, we will arrive in Pitlochry, a charming Victorian village with a welcoming atmosphere. You will have free time to stroll through its picturesque streets, discover its traditional shops, and recharge in one of its coffee shops—or even try the famous whisky ice cream—before we begin our journey back to Edinburgh.

Had a brilliant day on this tour and would greatly recommend it. It’s a long day, but it’s well worth it for the amount you get to see. The scenery is absolutely stunning and there’s a great mix of places along the route, so the time flies by. Unfortunately, I didn’t catch our guide’s name, but he was from Stirling and really made the trip. He was incredibly knowledgeable about Scottish history, culture and local stories, and shared it all in a way that felt natural and engaging. His enthusiasm turned what could have been just another sightseeing tour into something that felt genuinely authentic. A cracking day out, with a guide who’s a real credit to the company. Many thanks!
Worst trip! Not worth it. You spend approx 11 hours in bus to get down and visit locations but you get a total of 3 hours to see these. Very limited time, you cant even sit down to enjoy a coffee. Plus the guides are super rude. If by chance you sit near them and get a personal call, they will make faces and ask you to disconnect. Feels like a moving jail. Also, a child in our bus puked on the floor, these guys didnt have the courtesy to stop for them to clean themselves and the entire bus was suffocated for half an hour till the next stop. Definitely not recommended.
