We paid $600 for my wife and I to have a private walking food tour of Helsinki. The food consisted of 1/2 of a pizza from a chain of pizza parlors, three pastries, one cup of coffee and a bag of chocolate candies from a local store (neither my wife nor I care for sweets). I understand that it was Midsummer holiday at the time and the main food court was closed, but there was a lovely outdoor food market with numerous vendors and multiple street food vendors selling reindeer sausages, moose dumplings, various fish, salmon soup and other local delicacies, but for some reason we didn't go there. I really hoped to try various Finnish foods but instead got pizza, from a chain restaurant, buns from a chain coffee shop, and chocolate candies.
We truly regret to hear that your experience didn’t meet your expectations. The alternatives your Local chose to substitute for the closed-for-holidays food market could have been better, and this will be addressed with them directly. Your feedback will be taken into consideration in our continuous efforts to offer travellers like you a great experience in Helsinki. We hope you still managed to enjoy some of the highlights of Helsinki and hope to welcome you again on another LocalBini Experience.
